Title: HIV RISK
Post by: worryingwellguy on January 15, 2011, 04:52:47 pm
Hi all,
I have been with my girlfriend for over 2years now and I have been faithfull and believe she has been as well. We had unprotected sex May/June 2010. I got tested Jan 2011,over 6 months after this and it was NEG.
About 10/11 weeks before getting tested Jan 2011, we were intimate and only did mutual masturbation. However ive read that NO PENETRATION = NO RISK but ive also read otherwise. I rubbed my erect penis on her wet vagina and clitoris region with no penetration and was wondering if this posed a risk to me? Also if it did, can I take my 11weeks test after this exposure as conclusive...?what amount of people seroconvert after testing negative after 11weeks.....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
P.S How accurate is the clearview complete HIV 1/2 test?
I wanted 2 specify this....i had pre *** and she was definately wet...is there still no risk?
I always thought since I was exposed to her V/fluids without penetration there'll be a risk? Can u PLS specify how this is different...I appreciate ur help!

You never had an exposure.

The bottom line is that your test result was accurate and you are HIV negative. Period.

It's not clear to me if  your gf has tested negative as well. In a securely monogamous situation, before dispensing with using condoms it's a good idea for both partners to get tested.
