OK, I couldn't even finish watching that.  Something about watching a person (be it all dead) eating a newly deceased animal corpse kind of gets to me.  But, if that's what you like.
Looking forward to receiving them, Philly!  Thanks again.

Betty, dear, please note that Bruce La Bruce is the same producer of both films.   ;D

Oh my.  Well, I'll stay open-minded and take a gamble.

I watched Capote tonight.  I never saw it when it was in the theatres.  I rate it high on my list.

Oh and David, a used dildo?  Parish the thought.  There's an adult bookstore right down the street from me.  If I need anything, it's only 2 minutes away. ;)

I thought Capote was an excellent film. I think Phillip Seymore Hoffman is a great actor. You check out Flawless in which he plays a drag queen. Robert DeNiro is in it too as a homophobic ex cop. I don't want to give away any of the movie but I thought it was great.

Philly--- Dearest, who the hell wants a used dildo? That is like so ewwww.

I want to see the movie Jumper, it looks good. I heard Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is funny as hell too.

I want to see the movie Jumper, it looks good

I was just at the library today looking for a book or two to take on my trip this weekend (8 hr drive to nc. it's kinda an early bday present for me since me and all my immediate family bdays are between feb 15 and march 25 and I try to get down there for one BIG party for all of us) anyway, I found Jumper. I still am looking forward to seeing that movie and Vantage Point soon.

The other night as it was only 2 degrees and the snow was blowing, we watched Firewall with Harrison Ford. It was pretty good.  ;) Iif I can get worked up enough to be really happy when the bad guy finally gets whacked then it's a pretty good movie. And boy was I glad to see Harrison finally take this guy out. ;)

Queen, I will definitely look for Flawless.  Today I'm going to attempt to watch Little Miss Sunshine before I have to take the movies back.  I never saw it and my brother (who is a pretty good critic) said it's excellent.

I'm waiting for Gia 3D.

I watched The Last King Of Scotland the other day and darn near got sick in the end. Icky. If you like James Mcavoy, I'm not sure if you should see it.

I just got digital cable and sometimes I browse the free movies section and catch awesome independant films. Muriel's Wedding with Toni Collete was SO adoreable. Plus, it has ABBA in it. ABBA. Amazing.

I watched most of Little Miss Sunshine last night.   All in all it wasn't a bad movie, just not my taste.

I hired resident evil 3 the other day, loved it! standard zombie hack and slash with some good action, predictable from pretty much the first 10 minutes, overall good entertainment value!

I figure they have plans for a 4th because of how Extinction ended. I remember Iggy saying that Milla Jovovich is done making them so I predict there will be a 4th but her character will be killed off in the beginning. Claire Redfield (Ali Larter from Heroes) will become the heroine. How do I know this? Because I am a gamer and they have put some of the characters from the game in the movie. Like Claire, Albert Wesker(he was the blonde dude with the dark glasses in Extinction and even the girl from Extinction called K-Mart. Since in the movie she said she didn't like her real name and they are headed to Alaska which kind of goes along with Resident Evil Code Veronica, thus K- Mart's real name is Veronica. I love being a gamer.

Watched half of Rescue Dawn. Billy wasn't into it so I noted the time on the DVD and let him turn it off.
I'll watch the rest soon.

It hasn't been too action packed like your typical Vietnam movie but I like it and I'll watch the rest of it whether he likes it or not. LOL

Rescue Dawn was pretty slow and not a lot of action, Winni.

We watched "Gone, baby, gone" last night.  It was amazing!  It started out kinda slow, but the twists and turns kept you guessing.  Really makes you wonder about the concepts of right and wrong.

I watched this teen thriller last night made in '96 early in the careers of both Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon, and I'm always impressed with Wahlberg -- the movie was Fear.  This was even before Boogie Nights and considering the subject matter he still came off really well, and obviously right I guess out of acting school, as it was only a few years after being an underwear model and faux rapper.  It still always surprises me how far along he's come, or do you other folks not like him?  Frankly he was better in this movie than Reese, and of course I love Reese.

I can appreciate him as an actor but everytime I see him all I can think initially is this

and his brother Donnie Wahlberg

Tickles me more than I could possibly tell you  ;D

All I initially think of are those underwear ads.   :P

But yes, I'm impressed with what he's delivered since.

Have you seen his workout video from the early 90's?  It's hilarious.  However, if you want a really good workout video from back then you really need to see the Dolph Lundgren one.  So stellar and lots of tight spandex.

I've seen the Dolph vid.  Not the Marky Mark workout.

I was watching Donnie Wahlberg last night when Spike showed the Killing Point marathon with John Leguizamo in it. It was actually pretty good. I think John has come a long way as an actor too since he is usually known for his comedy. I was watching a movie with him in it a few weeks ago, Cronicas where he played a reporter doing a story on a man accused of killing kids or something like that. It had subtitles cause it was in spanish.

I also like Mark Wahlberg too especially in the movie 4 Brothers. He was really good in that one. I thought he was ok as a rapper back in the day even though he did kind of bubble gum rap. At least he was better than Vanillla Ice aka Robert Van Winkle. I remember meeting him back when I worked for the City of Miami Beach. He was sporting dreads back then and waiting on a package from the UPS man... ;)

Oh yeah... Love Leguizamo.  I went to see him on Broadway for Mambo Mouth in the early 90's and actually prefer him on stage as opposed to movies.

If you enjoyed City of God the multi-Academy Award nominated Brazilian film, the follow up Elite Squad just began the rounds and won a big international film festival today in Berlin:

I think expectation is that this will do even more than City of God.  Already last year it was the most attended production for all Brazil, and that was exclusive of the massive bootlegging of the DVD that added another 3 million viewers.  Can't wait to see it -- and if you've never seen City of God, oh how you have missed out.

Just curious if anyone has had the chance to see Diary of the Dead.  Romero only gave it an extremely limited opening and Charlotte is not one of the cities.

Most likely will have to wait till it comes out on video.

Is it a zombie movie? By Romero, I am so hoping it is.

I, like you, adore a good zombie or vampire movie.

Snow, I fell asleep last night before the end of "American Gangster", too..lol.  The theatrical version is 2hrs, but we went for the extended and it was 2hrs 45mins.  I'll have to watch the last hour or so when the kids go down for a nap.  What I saw of it i really liked, though.  I saw a special on Discovery about the real Frank Lucas.  Very interesting.  We saw "Gone, Baby Gone", too.  It started a little slow, but what a great movie.  It really makes you think.  Great discussion starter.

Tonight, we'll be watching "Rendition" or "Michael Clayton".  We rented "Monsters, Inc." for the kids.  Last time we saw it the boys were really small (4 1/2, and almost 2).  Mini slept through the whole movie while getting a dose of her IV meds. ;D

I couldn't help myself. Even after Iggy gave me the link to the spoiler, I still had to order SawIV. I am liking what I am seeing though. It's good to have a visual... ;)
