How far away is a cure

With all the research going on, when do you think the major breakthrough is going to happen? You have companies like Bionor with it's vacc-4x that some are touting as a "functional cure." Then you have the International Aids Society saying a cure is still far away.

Hey Help;

Welcome to the forums. The question about a cure is one that has been discussed here quite a bit, and one that gets a fair amount of attention for those of us that are relatively new to this disease (I assume you are HIV+), however it can also be a distraction from much more important issues - like dealing with the initial reaction to the diagnosis, making treatment decisions, and getting the right support system in place.  How are you doing with those things?

In terms of your original question, there have been a number of threads on this topic, this one included:

Again, welcome and I hope all is well for you,
JM
