Scott... 1972-2007

Oh, Scott...did we ever have some fun or what? Those were fantastic times indeed. I could always count on you to cheer me up with that goofy big smile and that gentle laugh. For me being around you was always a celebration no matter where we were or what we were doing...though we were usually up to quite alot. The hours we spent in the booth laughing, crying or just being quiet as we got lost in our own thoughts while listening to your music. Or the times we would sit out on a patio somewhere and discuss "life" until the sun rose, or our Golden Girl Marathons. I hold those times as nothing less than sacred and I will always be grateful to you for that.

One thing I hold dear is that every encounter we ever had was rounded with a hug and kiss at beginning and end. The last time I saw you we parted in the same way, a hug and a kiss but yet you weren't really there, you were on your way out of this world and the pain that burdened you.

Here it is 3 years later and I'm still mad and confused as to why you chose not to fight this disease. I'm mad because I dont have you anymore and I'm relegated to posting memorials about you. A bit of joy in me died with you, and I'll never get it back. But that's my greediness, as I know you ahve spread your wings and shed the pain. For that I'm happy. At least I'll have the memories and the wonderful experience of knowing you to celebrate. When I think back on you it stirs a feeling of a guy with a gentle heart and a beautiful kind soul. The songs inside....they linger. I love you Buddy.
