I can't understand how things like this happen. There was a case here in Florida, a while back, where a woman had been on the couch so long, that she grew into it. Her body was "grafted to the fabric"

That is just strange!  I can't even put my head around the logistics of how something like that could happen.
Very sad!

I find this story hard to believe ... I cant imagine letting some one languish  that long nor can I imagine letting some one sit on a toilet for two years without saying nudge over girl I gotta go.

The woman on the crapper took her meals and drinks there. Much gross.

The woman stuck to the couch......took her craps ON the couch?

People do the darnest things. I'm thinking now of the boyfriend who called this in. The woman on the crapper most definitely had some mental depression or mental aberration going on. But the boyfriend? I wonder what caused him to call when he did....the tiny little clock ticking in his brain...for days, into weeks, into months...tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, call.

Sidenote: The planet Mercury may be in trouble, folks. Seems like scientist found two different types of craters that
they are scratching their heads about. But the potential threat is that they also spotted something shiny. You know how people get about shiny things.  ::)

I would say we have a case of two people that are not totally (mentally) stable. I'm sure there is a lot more to the story. In any case, that would put a new meaning to having a toilet ring on you butt.

It's very sad, but at least she may now be able to get the mental help she needs.  I guess she started off just confining herself to the bathroom, and at some point limited that to just the toilet. I wonder how long it takes for your skin to physically meld with the plastic of a toilet seat?  Her legs had atrophied from sitting, so she must have been on that seat for months and months without moving.

You ever had one of those days where you sit and sit and sit on the toilet because of the poop express?

Notice that your ass starts hurting a bit? Notice the tingling in your legs because circulation is getting screwed?

WTF I cant even sit on a toilet for 30 minutes. This chick befuddles my ass.

I don't know anyone on HIV meds that have to spend much time on the toilet at anyone time. They should have an express lane just for us.  ;)

I'm embarrassed to say i was born in Wichita, KS (althoiugh the women in question was some little town outside of Wichita).

Mental illness x 2 is the only explanation.

I wonder how they celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas?  July 4th I can understand.   The fireworks were of a different sort though. ::)

I was wondering that as well. Hmmm, I could see it now, "Spread em honey, I gotta go!"  :o

Then, of course, there is the question of his aim!

Oh, the aroma alone would be rank enough to make me want to move.

EEP!

Girls don't have to stand to wipe. We don't have anything blocking access. Unless she was really obese?

NESS CITY, Kan. (May 19) - A man whose girlfriend authorities say spent nearly two years in a bathroom in their house, sitting on the toilet so long that the seat adhered her body, has been charged with mistreatment of a dependent adult.

Kory McFarren, 36, was charged Monday in Ness County District Court.

McFarren called the Ness County Sheriff's Office in late February to say something was wrong with his girlfriend. When authorities arrived at the home, they found Pam Babcock, 35, stuck to the toilet, which they think she had sat on for about a month.

McFarren told authorities that Babcock feared leaving the bathroom and may not have left it in two years, although said he was unsure how long she was in there. He said that he took her food and water daily, and that he repeatedly asked her to come out but that she usually replied "maybe tomorrow."

"The only thing I am guilty of is I didn't get her help sooner," McFarren told The Associated Press nearly a week ago.

Ness County Attorney Craig Crosswhite said the mistreatment charge most closely fit the situation.
