I'd sure love to give up Norvir. I just hope no other side effects pop up instead.

I think that stuff should be banned, now I can have a normal looking belly again, my ID Doctor thinks Norvir is the root of all of my body evils , and the way I look  ??? she even wants to STOP the Norvir...

Hiya,

is that possible after stopping Norvir- belly gets back to norm? asking because I have the same problem (pregnant men) I'm off the Norvir for about 3 months, it did get a bit smaller but still is hard, at one point I thought is getting bigger but I think that could be something with insulin,my doc. took my blood to check it out, must say I would be very happy if there is a hope to get rid of it , effects my self-esteem- big time.
anyways please MORE and MORE new better meds.

Mim was on this med, too (I knew it as Ritonovir) for quite a while as an infant.  Why are they getting rid of it?

I was still waiting on the Norvir tab so I didn't have to take that damned capsule anymore. ;D Now it's looking like I might have some choices to make in the future: norvir tabs, GS-9350 or SPI-452. As long as ONE of them won't make me puke, I'll be happy. ;D

No one's getting rid of it.  I'm just predicting no one will take it anymore once better boosters come out.

There are a few drugs like that, once they come off patent, they squash them because they are no longer in demand instead of going to a generic brand.  I have read an article recently, I don't want to speak out of turn, but I understand that is happening.  I am however grateful that newer better drugs are becoming available.  Makes things easier for all of us.  D

I'll see about getting on a clinical trial for this as soon as one is available, at least in P2
