Getting an unprotected blow job is not a risk for HIV transmission. Giving unprotected head to males is a theoretical risk. But no one has ever presented a documented case of transmission from giving unprotected head.

No matter what they say in Living With HIV and/or I Just Tested Positive. There is no documented evidence.

There have been long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

As Matty told you, if you cannot bring yourself to believe our risk assessment, go test. As long as you've not been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse you neglected to mention, you will collect a negative result. As a sexually active adult you should be testing at least once a year anyway.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

As for you concern about risk in terms of receiving oral, in the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a confirmed case of transmission to a guy via his having received oral sex. Claims can be made as they are from time to time but they never hold up under careful scrutiny. There are a number of reasons including someone's forgetfulness, their having been intoxicated or using a substance or uncomfortable with acknowledging something else they were doing sexually.

We're not interested in getting into a back and forth with you about this issue. Receiving oral is only theoretically a risk in the way that anything other than sex with your own hand is theoretically a risk. In the real world of HIV transmission doesn't happen to someone through their receiving oral. Period.

It is to put into perspective the information we give. You have asked about the same event over and over and over. You are EXACTLY the reason we do not spend hours and hours repeating ourselves to someone who clearly does not accept our risk assessment.

Seriously, do you think that we, mostly volunteer folks, mostly HIV POSITIVE volunteer folks, WANT people to seroconvert?  If you think that, then I would like a hit off what you are smoking.

By the by, the porn actor in question, it appears, recently pulled from the web a page advertising his escort services, which he claims he did not do, with barebacking for an additional fee.

He claims to have been monogamous to his wife outside the set, and only using condoms with everyone else. This has been proven not to be true. Moreover, the guy was known to use meth on his webcam shows. Meth use and unprotected bottoming go hand in hand, for reasons directly related to the drug.

I just don't get the hostility sometimes. This is a site primarily to provide support and information for people who are HIV positive. We provide the AM I INFECTED forum as - get this - a courtesy for those with transmission questions. We who provide risk assessment do so out of a desire to help the larger community. We take time from  our sometimes busy, sometimes sick lives to do so.

Mike, this Forum is not a chat board. It's not for gee I was thinking or wondering about kind of moment.

It's for people who may have had a risk and are looking for an evaluation in relation to that.

You don't have to like the answers or our format.

What I can tell is that we're not going to engage further in some kind of debate about whether receiving oral sex is a risk or not. It is not a risk whether you accept that or not.

From what you voiced right at the beginning of  your entries is what seems more to the point in your particular situation. And that is that you have some concern about acting impulsively in terms of getting your cock sucked.
