Very funny!
Loved his comment to CNN about the thorough job they do in reporting. :)

I thought he was hilarious.  The Drinks with Mitch joke was good.  Well, not so much a joke, but a statement.  The Sheldon Aldelson joke about he could have just offered him the $100 million to drop out of the race was funny.  The Muslim and not born here jokes are funny, but I also think good to shove that crap in the birther's faces.  The jokes about CNN reporting false info was funny.

Conan started a tad sluggish, but soon got into his groove.  He was funny.  I know many are critical of these events, saying the press is too cozy with the executive branch.  Many are critical of folks like Lindsay Lohan being invited.  I didn't realize how far back these go.  I also read how Helen Thomas got Kennedy to refuse to come, unless they allowed women.

I don't see any harm in thee events and obviously there's a lot of benefit.  It combines comedy and political satire, everybody can use a dose of that.

And what's wrong with the politicians and the press getting some contact high from mega-watt celebrities...  They don't have to listen to the celebrities.

Everyone likes to feel a little bit glamorous and not have to be too critical "why" they feel glamorous because Sharon Stone is sitting at the table.  Its not brain surgery.

There have been so many great ripostes over the last few years. Obama has been great at this but Bush and Clinton were good as well in their own ways.
