hello there
« on: October 24, 2011, 02:02:55 pm »
Hi my name is Oliver. I just tested poz on September 5th. I've had some ups and downs since then but I feel like I'm dealing with it alright.  My initial cd4 was 443 and my viral load was 250,000 (ick). I've just recently started atripla and apart from the crazy dreams I haven't really had any drastic side-effects. I don't really know what else to say at the moment lol I just thought I would introduce myself. I've read through the forums and it's been very educational for me. I'm excited to interact with you guys!  ;D

Hey Oliver! Welcome to the forums! Sorry you had to find us, but glad you found us :)

Greetings Oliver,

Only five months in here myself and a big welcome and hugs to you. A few thoughts for you. Folks said with time it gets better - it really does! I am amazed at how different my perspective and calm (and hope) is after such a short time. Hang in there.
This forum is a true gift. There are tons of very generous folks on here (Newt, Ann, BillyB for starters) who have tons of experience and are so kind in taking the time to respond to us newbies.
I've discovered that life does go on. It didn't seem like that at all; it was truly my dark night of the soul. Soon, light starts to shine again.
Hugs. Joe

Hi Ollie

I was diagnosed a few days before you.

this forum and its knowledgeable and optimistic members are  a major support. time also helps. but I guess I too need more time to adjust. for example this infection is not now the final thing I think about before sleep or the first thing when I wake.
