5 seconds unprotected - risk?
« on: September 12, 2013, 04:44:10 pm »
Hi,

Yesterday after a dispute with my girlfriend I made a terrible mistake: I went to a female sex worker form eastern Europe.
After getting an unprotected blowjob, she rubbed her sex against my penis. Then it
arrived: My uncircumsized erected penis entered (I think completely) her agina for about 5 seconds. It was the time noticing it. Immediately we stopped and I took my penis out of her. I looked at the tip of my penis; no blood or anything visible to me. After 20 seconds I took a condom and we had protected sex. Condom didn't break.
Fear raised more and more in me. Scared to death, I went to see a local doc who treats hepatitis and hiv infected people.

But he wasn't freaking out when I told him about what happened. He told me that unprotected oral sex is absolutely no risk when there's no visible blood and that a 5 seconds contact is too short for a real risk for hiv.
He explained me that the penis must get really wet to allow an infection and that this is not possible in such a short time. Adding the presence of her saliva from the previous blowjob and the fact I pulled it out for 20 seconds and didn't see blood (no menstruation), he thinks that I haven't had a real risk for hiv. Theoretically yes, but not in real life, he told me. He has never seen or heared about such a case. So he decided against a pep.

The doc only asked me to test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich. and Hepatitis A and B at different times because I was at risk of getting this. He excluded Hepatitis C and Hiv. He told me to continue using condoms for vaginal sex with unknown persons and to relax and to stop thining about hiv after this

But I forgot to ask him what is in case the girl had a lot of vaginal discharge.
So I wanted to ask you here if you agree with the doc? And what is in case of vginal discharge, I forgot to ask him? Was that a mistake of me? Does that change something?

Thanks for your precious help! And sorry about asking you, I know I had enough time to learn that at school. sorry

HIV infections from brief dipping are rare , the risk was a low risk but not no risk so you will need to test at the appropriate time . You can test 6 weeks past the incident and again at 3 months to confirm the results .

I haven't seen a case like yours go on to a positive HIV test so where you can fully expect a negative test you do need to have them anyway since you did have a low risk encounter .

I would continue to have protected intercourse until such a time you and your girlfriend are in a mutually monogamous relationship .
