PAX Immune booster p- any thoughts?
« on: March 17, 2012, 03:31:25 pm »
In thinking of ways to boost my CD4 level, I have come across quite a bit of literature about PAX Immune booster. Seems it was used before HAART with some interesting success.
I happen to be in NYC this weekend and see that it is carried at one CVS store. Before I invest, any thoughts? Any contraindications with ARV's?

Are you talking about K-Pax ?

If so,  the same ingredients can be had at NY Buyers club for less than half the price
http://www.newyorkbuyersclub.org/macpack/index.html

I used it for a while,  didn't change my numbers at all,  but I did feel better.  Could have been the placebo effect though.

Cojo,

I've moved your thread into the Nutrition forum. K-Pax is a nutritional supplement and therefore the Nutrition forum is the more appropriate place for your questions.

There are quite a few threads in this forum concerning K-Pax. Without looking them up to refresh my memory, I'm sure I remember the general consensus where K-Pax is concerned is that it's over-priced and not worth it. A regular multivitamin tab will do the same thing at a lower price.

I know I certainly wouldn't waste my money on K-Pax.

Yea, I agree with Ann.  I am a fan of Vitamin Supplements and K-Pax did not overly impress me with value.  If my memory serves, in some cases, they had some mineral/s in their multi packs that most others do not.  But still, you could add that mineral and still spend considerably less.
Good luck!
M
