bold new idea for additional forum!
« on: April 14, 2010, 04:56:56 pm »
I humbly suggest a new forum addition to Off Topics:  Stupid Topics.

There are several advantages to this scheme, among them people who have me on ignore would never have to see my insipid posts again (i.e., the irritating "Ignored/Show" button would rarely appea).   And this forum could also be the only place youtube links were allowed unless they were relevant to an important topic (that will be the day...).  Also, recidivist Am I Infestated posters could be directed to use the new forum after their 25th question about the risk of hand jobs or vacuum cleaners with blood on the attachments and such.

Please discuss amongst yourselves.

Miss Bates: "Oh! very well," exclaimed Miss Bates, "then I need not be uneasy. `Three things very dull indeed.' That will just do for me, you know..."

Emma:  "Ah! ma'am, but there may be a difficulty. Pardon me--but you will be limited as to number--only three at once."

I humbly suggest a new forum addition to Off Topics:  Stupid Topics.

Or maybe a Stupid Idea's Forum.

Should I ask the Mods to move your post to the new forum now Boo, or should discuss this amongst ourselves first ... ;)

Or maybe a Stupid Idea's Forum.

A "How to use apostrophes" forum might be in order, too!   ;)  ::)

Stupid is fine in Off Topic, don't see the need for another forum. Also hope springs eternal, a post might be started and intended to be "stupid" in Off Topic, then lead to something interesting.
Once you label something stupid, there's less chance of repurposing.

I didn't know Scotland was in New Zealand.  I thought it was in Nova Scotia!

Well maybe not a stupid topics forum. Any number of existing forums already fulfil that function (Research why am I looking in your direction?), sez Matty.

I think the Goderators should establish a forum devoted to Boo. But what to call it?

I forgot you'd had all mirrors and reflective surfaces removed from your home...

Besides, by definition a curmudgeon doesn't have to be old.

I was born and raised in Scotland, I belong to the Mackay Clan.

Clan Mackay is an ancient and once powerful Scottish clan from the far north of the Scottish Highlands, but with roots in the old province of Moray. They were a powerful force in politics beginning in the 14th century, supporting Robert the Bruce.
The Mackays became famous for strength, courage and skill in soldiering.
