Weird-ass weather
« on: December 17, 2006, 09:44:29 am »
I just got up and it is 69F here in Austin, with an expected high of 79 today!  I'm in no mood to deal with the Christmas stuff that has to be done today. I'd rather go to the lake, strip down and lay on a rock like a lizard!

I can only imagine what it's like for Jan and the others down under, who have Christmas in summer every year!

RAB, I am in now way trying to downplay the extreme weather that has affected your area.  But if you're freezing your ass off may I remind you that you have someone to snuggle up with?  I, on the other hand, have lived utterly alone since the beginning of November!

Now go and bite Damn Fool on the ass, and see if things don't start warming up for you.

Hey buddy

I knew you weren't!  I'm sorry if my response suggested that.  I know you well enough to know better.

I just jealous of that wonderful 79 degrees.

Forgive?

Weird-ass weather indeed!
Glad you didn't lose power, Rocky--neither did we--but I sure feel bad for those who did, and are still without.
Particularly the elderly and those with small children.
(It's freakin' cold out there this morning!)

It's 72 degrees and sunny here in Greensboro. Absolutely beautiful. I'm going to go wash my cars.

You'd better add New Orleans to "down under" since it's perfectly normal to have air conditioning running on Xmas day.  The high today is supposedly going to be 72 so that means it will be more like 80 in the city.  The low will be a frosty 53 degrees so it's time to pull out the thermal underwear and hot water bottle.

Everyone in colder climes has my sympathy but if you're young enough you may experience global warming and end up in a more temperate zone eventually.  For people my age and older there's about 600 miles of formerly inhabited land right here in New Orleans and if you buy now you'll get a great deal, even if you have to build your home on stilts 15 feet above ground level.

Yeah, it almost got to 70 today here in Virginia.

It's like a very Southern Hemisphere Christmas or something.

Hey Basquo, we can have a "warm weather Xmas" bitchfest next month in person when I come down to rock Austin's face!

Huzzah!
Your tastebuds can't repel flavor of this magnitude!
