This year's dinner had some good laughs--especially at the expense of Donald Trump.  I still can't believe he was invited.  The Donald is not amused.  President Obama tells everyone his birth video has been found and he plays it for the audience.  Pres. Obama was funny--remembering he isn't a comedian by day.  The teleprompter video was a tad too long.  At least he didn't make jokes about the missing weapons of mass destruction as Bush did, while thousands had died for that cause.

You can see President Obama here:

You can see Seth Meyers here.  I thought he was hilarious and one of the best yet.  He went a little easy on the President.

So, what are your thoughts?

I was horrified by Trump's stone face, and that poor lady with him?

I have now listened to Obama's routine. That was pretty good, the lion king, huh? "This is not a real birth video".   ;D

I bet the Donald was very proud of himself after that dinner.  If looks could kill, Seth would be cold.

Love Seth's dimples.   :)

Why did he go if he wan't willing to crack a smile?  Is he that out of touch with his image?
It is so important to drum up audience for his show, at all cost, even humiliation?

Now is Seth Meyers Jewish, or isn't he?  Conspiracy theorists demand answers.

This reminded me of other comedy attempts by political figures.  The first one is Al Gore on SNL in a what if he were president skit.  Glaciers were on the attack after global warming had been solved.  Albert can be very funny--especially when given a funny script.  Gore appeared on SNL in 2003 when people were waiting to hear whether he would run in 2004.  He appeared in a sketch where he was in a hot tub with his shirt off.  I knew then he wasn't going to run.  He also did a sketch that was kinda sad where he was pretending to be president on the set of "The West Wing."

This video was President Clinton's farewell video sketch.  It seems more depressing than funny.  Buddy The Dog makes a cameo.  Poor Buddy.  He got backed over by a worker's van and killed.  I was actually very sad when I heard he was gone.  He was the only one to stand by the President during those rough times.

The clips I saw were hilarious; remarks by the President and by Seth Myers were hilarious....

Trump was not a bit happy was he?   ;D
