Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

some help

Around december I had a relationship with this girl and we fooled around right before we broke up we were both drinking and I took a xanex too getting to details we made out and I tried for intorcourse but I couldn't really get it up but had contact with her vagina for about a minute were I was inside it was unprotected I ended up fingering her and feel asleep I hate myself for what I did and very scared what I know about her iks she's 28 and has two kids youngest is 2 has a drug problem seen her snort coke , for months now I'm scared I got swollen lyhmphnodes a rash that comes and goes likke small pimples fatique variety of other symptoms that could be pyscological how much of a risk was this one time incide nt thank u very much

You were not at risk of contracting HIV from this encounter.

Your penis coming into contact with her vulva or the outside of her vagina is not a risk for HIV transmission. Nor is fingering a woman.

You do not need to be tested for HIV as a result of this encounter. Please read our Welcome Thread and follow the links to our lessons on HIV transmission.

Thank u for your advice one last question should I tell the doctor just to make sure and aftre all this my life is truly different if people would only know this fear they would never do what they did I sure am I quit with the pill and want nothi g more then be a better person

I don't know about commenting on your whole life after this event.

I do know that if you want to protect yourself from the sexual transmission for HIV the solution is very simple: use a condom everytime you have vaginal or anal intercourse. No exceptions. Then you will be well protected.

You can tell your doctor if you like, though I would imagine he or she would give you the same advice I have.

I'm sorry I'm posting again Matty you gave me some Great advice but I'm still notsure when I said I couldn't. Get my penis up because my penis wasn't completely limp and I did penatrate her for about a minuute beforegiving up I'm.probably just stressing out cause I do that alotbut you guys think there's any risk fromthis. I wont keep bothering u but I justneed some reassurance till I get health insurance. And can go to the doctors. Thank u wish everyone thebest.

Just wait for about six moth and get tested.  If you negative that is fine and that means you are safe.   ;D

Metekrop, you are not authorized to be commenting or responding in this section of the Forums. Please don't do it again.

Not only that but what you have told Alone is wrong. Testing at 6 months is only for a certain few circurmstances and his situation is not one of those. In fact he was never at risk and doesn't even need to get tested.

Thank u so much Andy I greatly appreciate your words I'm still going. To get a test for other STD just for peace of mind I'm probably like many people and keep thinking the worst I hope everyone at risk the best thanks again

Yah, you have a lot of worrying company. Fortunately fears are not facts and you have no basis in factual HIV science to be concerned.

Get tested if you must for your peace of mind. Based on what you have reported a negative result is a slam dunk.
