HIV Through Handjob from a Massage place (Very Worried)
« on: February 05, 2009, 05:50:33 pm »
Hi,

First of all thanks for running such a useful site.
Please help me out in this matter.
I am 25 (M). I went to the massage place and the Chinese lady who gave me massage also gave me hand job with massage oil. After that she gave me a towel and I took a shower there.
I am afraid now what if the lady was infected, or what if she got some HIV germs left on her hand from a previous customer? She said towel was clean, but I am still afraid. Can I be infected by HIV through Hand job and using the towel?
Please help out!!!
God Bless .

HIV is not transmitted through masturbation or environmental surfaces. You did not have a risk of contracting HIV.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply?
So that means I cannot get HIV through handjob or through towel ? and I don't need any testing?
Right.

God Bless

No you cannot contract HIV from a handjob and you cannot contract HIV from a towel and NO you do not need an HIV test.

Thanks.
I was wondering if you are in a medical field since you know a lot about HIV. Thanks for explaining it to me. Just the last question.
While the Massage place lady was giving me hand job, my penis was pointing upwards (up-side) because I was lying down on the massage bed. So is their possibility that once I ejaculated, the HIV germs on her hand mixed with massage oil and enter into my stream. I am sorry for using the words above but I want to explain the situation.  If you can answer the above questions at your earliest convenience that would be really appreciated. This way I will be bale to get on with my life again.

God Bless

It wouldn't have mattered if you were standing on your head when being masturbated, you were never at risk.

so massage oil is not the concern than ? right .
I am feeling so much better now after your reply.

I am just worried about this part "So is their possibility that once I ejaculated, the HIV germs on her hand mixed with massage oil and enter into my stream.

Be good .

HIV is a fragile virus and does not stay active outside it's host. There is no possible way to contract HIV from getting a handjob.

Hi AJ,

Since you wrote a PM to me I am replying here, even though you have already gotten spot on responses. You were never at risk for transmission in the incident you are worried about.

Sexually the only real and proven risks for HIV transmission are via unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. If you consistently use condoms for those activities you'll be well and effectively protectioned.

You are worrying needlessly over your incident. Period.

Get on with your llife. Really.

Cheers.

Just want to make sure one last time that I am not at risk and I don't need any kind of HIV or STD testing right? Not even after 3 months?
I am just making sure that I can live a normal life . The above incident got me worried but after your replies I am feeling much better.
If you could answer this last thread , that would be great.
thanks

AJ

AJ, you had no HIV risk to be further concerned about, nor would I consider that experience to have been risky for other STDs.

We do in general recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to regularly have a full STD panel done just as a precaution. That would mean at least annually.

Otherwise I see no basis for further worry or testing on your part.

Cheers.

Thanks a lot Andy  for taking your time to reply me back.

Just to let you know that I am not sexually active. This incident happened all of sudden without any intentions.
But as you said I don't need any testing so I will be okay now. Should I just continue with my normal life?

Regards

AJ

AJ,

Yes, please do get on with your life. You were NOT at risk during the handjob or massage.

Here's what you need to know for when you DO become sexually active:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

You DO NOT NEED TO TEST as you are not yet sexually active. I've given this information for the future. Learn it, please.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple.

AJ, given what you have described I don't see any cause for concern about STIs from this incident.

We do in genreral recommend that anyone who is sexually active ought to regularly have a full STI panel done. That means at least once a year. Other STIs can be easier to acquire than HIV. I'm thinking specifically if there is vaginal or anal intercourse.

However, in relation to this specific instance I don't see any cause for further concern.

We are an HIV specific site. However, I will in general say that I don't see any cause for any further concern about STDs in general in relation to your incident.

This is the last time I am going to say what you've already been told repeatedly: There was no risk whatsoever for HIV during that incident.

If you keep coming back here again about that you're going to end up getting a Time Out.

Get on with your life.
