Hi Tim!

I am truly touched by seeing those words: "Our Zephyr" tonight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughtfulness!

Can it be three years ago that I began those first tentative posts to the AM family, sharing my story with so many of you, sight unseen, but still feeling your wonderful hearts just the same?

Have two years passed already since that day in Toronto, when, surrounded by journalists from all over the world, I saw your smiling face behind that crowd and made my way through them to you, only to hear you say "ZEPHYR! You are the very first member from Aidsmeds I've ever met in person!!?

I will never forget that hug you gave me, or the one I received from Peter, either. A very special day, that one.

And so here I am again, checking in on my ole' stompin' ground, the place that gave me courage, love and the inspiration to jump into the trenches of advocacy for real, and in the real world. I know the community here has changed much, but one thing has not--that the good work done here helps so many of us, when it cannot be found anywhere else. I miss those daily volleys, even the rough times when the merger happened.

But as you can see, I have never let up, once I began my journey those 1000 days ago, and no one here has left my heart, not one, no way.

All good wishes to you, my friend...hope to see you soon on the trail!

xxooxoxo
