Rapid Test Accuracy?
« on: September 21, 2013, 09:18:22 pm »
I won't sugar coat this too much especially since I was very irresponsible last fall/winter, and part of the reason I feel the way I do now is because of that.

From October to January, I explored my sexuality a bit and tried guys. I was with four different guys in that time. We didn't do anything unsafe, it was only oral, kissing, and lots of touching. I never tried anal and never had anyone's semen in my mouth. Now lets go to February, where I started to worry that I caught something from my first few encounters.

During the middle of november 2012, I got a really bad sore throat cold, nothing too major but this worried me to the point I felt I actually had caught something such as HIV. I was so worried that every little ache and pain I felt made me feel I had HIV. I developed a small swollen lymph node on my neck, which may have been there all my life, not a big deal and it is really small, but that worries me as well.

I got a rapid test done in March of 2013, the one where the prick your finger for your blood, and the result came back negative.

Now fast forward to now, I am still a little worried. Do you think I should get another test just to be sure?

You never had an exposure and didn't need the first test.
