Eddie Izzard....Minnie Driver...

The potential is there for a new TV love. I'm hoping it lives up to its promise.

Anybody else interested in this upcoming series?

Just like Dirt being so heavily marketed during Nip Tuck, I'll probably get sucked into "The Riches" too. I have it set on DVR

It's funny that I still catch these commercials even though I'm zooming by them.

I'm excited about this one. I got sucked into Nip/Tuck, then Dirt, and then probably this one as well. Did anyone catch when it starts or if it has started when it is on?

It starts tonight at 10 pm on FX. That's 248 here, I think. I am about to go mosey in that direction and give it a look.

I have no idea what "The Riches" is..but I do love Eddy Izzard.

If it's a show then you guys will get it way before we will here in NZ..so you will have to keep me updated...

So has anyone seen it ? I had it on my Tivo last night since I was burned out from work. Is it worth watching or an overhyped show with a great set of actors? You guys haven't steered me wrong yet.

Like family knock-down-drag-down fist fights? That kinda reminds me of my childhood LOL I liked how they played "Whip It" and "Jesse's Girl" ... Entertaining, but I could see myself growing tired of it

I liked it quite a bit. I see a lot of promise in the series. I'd say it is worth the watch.

sammy seems to be the um...artistic child of the family.

i am liking this show more and more. i thought it was hilarious when minnie driver was running to her neighbor's...

"i brought you some cookies....can you give me some drugs?"

i just think it is a very intriguing show with the potential to explore the subject of worth intensely.

parts of it are hilarious, too.

thats as good as the movie with al Pacino as the Devil, who naturally runs a law firm in Manhattan.

Between the Richs, Rome, and Top Design.. Im set for the season.

Thank You! I'm starting to love this show. It's kinda bizarre in a lot of ways. Mostly dramatic, but there's a humor to the whole thing that I just love.

That's what I mean by the bizarre thing. Kinda random stuff like that just happens all along. Very entertaining. Definitely a bit left of center compared to most other hour dramas on TV. But then, with Eddie Izzard, I'm not that suprised that it's a bit skewed.

I'm just not into this whole show yet... call me boring - but I will keep watching just in case. Now Dirt on the other hand! I can't wait for the season finale tonight.

Haven't seen dirt yet, but looks interesting. I must have been watching the wrong networks lately. All these shows like dirt that I have only just heard of are nearing their finales. All the mainstream shows (Housewives, etc) feel like they have barely had anything one would call a season this year. They've all been rerun after rerun all winter, it seems.

Yeah, i've been disappointed in my other show, Lost. And then Nip/Tuck wasn't all that wonderful either.

We did see this show called Death Do Us Part on Court TV with John Waters last night. It was kind of good.

A family of Irish Travellers (basically con artists and thieves) happen to cross paths with a wealthy man (last name "Rich") who dies in an accident. They assume his identity and become "The Riches". More than what you'd commonly assume as "identity theft", they aim to inhabit the lives and open doors that have always been closed to them. They attempt to steal "the American Dream". More than just taking the money, the father fights to pull of this nearly impossible scheme to bring opportunities to his children that he never had. Potential snares from both their past lives and this new illusory one they inhabit are at every turn.

It is at turns compellingly dramatic and darkly funny. It is a highly moral show where the central focus is to examin, "what is it that makes the life of a person truly wealthy"?

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Actually, he's totally butched up in this production. Again, I can't recommend it enough. It's characters, it's themes, it's plot turns...they're all, well - rich.
