Has it been 4 years??
« on: July 29, 2007, 12:24:47 am »

William asked me to Marry him four years ago this Friday August 3rd.   I had know idea what the future held for us.   And for certain, back then, I had know idea that hiv was going to be part of both our lives in two short years.  I just knew that this was right,  and if I pass this opportunity, who knows where I would be.   William proposed to me half way between my home and his parents home on the other side of the mountain range.   I had no clue that this was coming.  This is the picture about 5 minutes after he slipped the gold band on my finger.   It may not look it, but this picture was taken at 11,500 feet on Independence Pass between Aspen and his parents home in Leadville....

I wanted to especially thank all of You here at AM that have helped both of us adjust to this new life....   Having this support group has played such an important factor for both of us being able to live each day the best we can.  I pray we all have long lives ahead of us..

Eric

Eric,

Happy anniversary to you guys !! You both look great together. Ed and I just celebrated our 27th year together this past week. Many more happy, wonderful, years to both of you !! Its kind of funny after all these years,...Ed knows what I am thinking before I think it, and I often know what he's going to say before he says it ! :)  It's like mental telepathy. It makes us laugh at times ! Talk about two people, being on the same brain wave at times !!  :)

I printed out this thread for Will to read, and his eyes just teared up reading your posts....  I know Will really does not understand the connection between me and AM... But he does understand that it has helped both of us in a fashion deal with life on life's terms.   I am very thankful that I found Will prior to the hiv portion of my life.   It has certainly made it easier for me to deal with this.   Although the road has been pretty smooth so far,  I am always looking around the next corner trying to steer clear of the proverbial bumps.   AM gives me a bit of foresight as to what to look out for and I will always be thankful for that.   When I read about people looking for that perfect person to have in their lives,   I wish nothing more than success for those.   I spent 29 years being single, alone and dedicated to the career path.   In the end, that was not enough, not fulfilling and very unsatisfying.   I can only imagine about the brush off's, the disclosure's,  the negativity about being pos and the other being neg...   I hate that people can be so narrow minded and uneducated.   AM is full of love and beautiful people..   I am glad we are a part of this..

Hugs,

Eric
