Another Lurker shows face..
« on: December 29, 2007, 01:36:55 pm »
Hi,

I'm Thom, I've been officially diagnosed fro three years, but my doctors pretty sure that I've been PoZ for at least a decade (long story I may post some day). Three years ago I was in the hospital with 24tcells, Lymphoma and taking chemo. Now I'm working, undetectable viral load and trying my best to stay upbeat and "postive"

I've been reading the boards for a few years, but finally decided to create an account, upload a picture and participate.  The post from everyone here have been very inspirational and informative.

Hey Thom,

I'm another lurker... you will certainly benefit from the groups here and the words of advice from our fellow members.  I really get a lot of out reading the postings and find it a great source of support mentally.  Here's to my first posting.

I'm fortunate and alive and am not letting HIV run my life.  I tested in July of 86 and have seen things go from dispare and survival, to the fact that we're not going to die, so we need to start living and get back on the

I'm fortunate to have had great medical care and the support from friends and some family to get through this.

I'm looking forward to the New Year and all the good things that come my way.  Lord knows its our birthright and there's just too much good all around.

Peace and prosperity to all,

James

Welcome Thom and James

I hope we hear more from you both in 2008.

James why don't you start a thread of your own I would hate to see you get lost here.

I've only been diagnosed for 5 years so I had better get out of here before they gang up on me and throw me out.. ;)

Hugs

It’s always heartening to hear that there are other long-term survivors around who are still going strong. Welcome to the forums, Thom and James! And a happy new year to you both.

Hi Thorn,

Glad you decide to join the conversation. I know that having survived something like Lymphoma in the eyes of the general public makes you a super hero. But just keep on keeping on.
