Yes! Yes! Yes!

I'm going to be a Grandpa! (yes, I know it has a weird ring to it!)

My son told me yesterday that they are expecting!

I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Things for me have been so shitty the last few months with my mom being diagnosed with Lung Cancer, the chemo, etc. blah.

This news has given me a much needed boost and has allowed me to feel such an overwhelming amount of joy! As some of you know my son is my best friend, and I am always soooo proud of him! When he told me I couldn't even speak, I was so overcome and I burst out into an uncontrollable cry!

I am on cloud nine! I have a smile from here to there!  ;D

Get ready world, there is going to be another Wumpster/Wumpette in the world!!!

I gotta go buy diapers now!

Here's me and my boy, the soon-to-be-dad!

FUCK you HIV! Life is good ;)

As a grandpa of 4, I can tell you that it is much fun.

I'll second that you sure did produce a handsome (and tall) boy there......   am I seeing a Fireman uniform??  If that is what he's wearing -- keep him away from Jan -- she'll be sure to try and have her way with him.

Congratulations! I can tell you being a grandparent is the BEST! Im a first time grandma and Im having the time of my life! My grandaughter will be 8 months old Monday. I love my kids more than anything, but my grandaughter...thats something really special! Its hard to explain....but you will soon find out what i mean!

Does your son live near you?  When are they expecting?  Do you know the gender?

Awesome just doesn't seem to be strong enough word.  But soon you'll have a wee willie (willette) to spoil stinking rotten and leave it to the parents to clean up the mess!   ::)

 Tested positive in 1985,.. In October of 2003, My t-cell count was 16, Viral load was over 500,000, Percentage at that time was 5%. I started on  HAART on October 24th, 2003.

 As of Oct 2nd, 2023, Viral load Undetectable.

No, he lives in Austin :( But it's only about an hour away. They are expecting Aug 14th (which throws AMG in doubt). Don't know the gender yet, but im gonna get the gypsy egg test going on her.

You know what I really love (and I would have said "No way" 11 years ago)....  when I go visit and get out of the car, I can hear them inside yelling, "Grandpa's here, Grandpa's here".  Yep -- never get enough of that.  Shopping for them is fun too -- who knew I'd love buying pretty pink dresses  :o.  My oldest granddaughter (she's eight) will ONLY wear pink.

You are a lucky man -- you live close enough to visit often -- mine are outside Asheville, NC -- I only get to see them 2 or 3 times a year.  Remember -- a Grandpa's main role is to spoil them rotten.......  Mom & Dad can deal with the aftermath.....

Congrats again -- I'm so happy for you.

Grandkids are a blessing, I have another two due next year.

 I still have that photo of you and your boy in my family album, it's a great photo, I think it may something to do with the uniform.. ;)

time for the "'Happy Dance"'  Granpa.....     you need to decide what he/she will call you...    I have heard some real off the wall ones here in Texas....   mine call me Grandpa......

good move  to scout out "Toys r us"   while you can ....      they grow out of that one pretty quickly...   my 8 yrs old grandson  put  an Apple  laptop on his Christmas list this year......   and the 16 yr old  has a car in his dreams.....

you will have a great time spoiling him/her    enjoy it all

How old are you again?  I thought you were in your mid-30's.  If so, I thought only people here in KY were grandparents by 35..lol.  I'm kidding.  People here are grandparents by 25.  Congrats and all the best!

Congrats.  I have a feeling we're going to be the first generation of openly gay grandparents.  I wish my 22 year old would start producing.  I think it'd be such great fun.  And yes, I was actually married to a woman for a minute right out of highschool.

Eventhough I've already sent my congratulations to you, I wanted to post here. Will I think this is an amazing change in your life! I'm really excited for you and your entire family. However, I have to add, you are going to be perhaps the best looking grandpa I have ever seen ;)

I don't know how I missed this.  Being a grandparent is the best.  I have 3 grandkids, and spoiling them is my main thing.  Like others have said, the parents get them when we're done, so let 'em eat candy!
