« on: November 01, 2013, 12:36:37 pm »
Hi all,

Just want to share my best news since my diagnosis in april.

Today my cd4 jumped to 260, after being at 120 the last 5 months.
Actually also means I dont have aids anymore, just only hiv.

Have a nice weekend everybody.

And for other people close to zero, keep fight and have hope - our meds truly works :-)

Hugs
Peter

Hi Wolfthorn,

Yes my MCis almost gone, think its because my cd4 count is rising fast. (Earlier I thought it was because of basiron acne creme lol)

I Only have some Ofuji left, but whats left is no problem - I thought a month ago I would never look normal again - som Im very happy now. My look was same the really ugly pictures from the 80's .

Wolfthorn,  you was low on cd4 too, but Im sure you will rise fast and soon.

Plz give feedback on yr next lab results, and best of luck from here :)

Hi agaiń everybody,

I hope its ok to continue to write in this tread.

Just came back from doc, and my cd4 are now 280, but probably the most important thing is that my cd% doubled from 10 to 20 :)

Furthermore I will not need monthly appointment anymore - only once every 3 months now - so things are certainly better.

Wish U all a beatifull Xmas and a happy new year.

Thank you everybody for always being here, and to listen and help :-)

Xmas hugs
Peter

Great news Peter! And you're right, it's very important that you have experienced a doubling of your CD4 %. Hopefully your absolute CD4 count will follow suit very soon!

Well done PeterDenmark! I have followed you since last year and hoped for the better. I am so glad about your CD4; you have made a serious but positive improvement. I hope your story will encourage others on this forum.

If Peter can go from Zero to 590, then anyone here feeling life is over for them know there is a massive pile of HOPE! All you need to do is brace yourself and get on the meds. I am not saying it is easy....

Blessings to all.

Hi everybody,

I hope its OK to give an update, and also I would like some info

The good news are continuing, my CD4 count are now amazing 800, and my percentage went up to 29  ;D

Im feeling good, still have some smaller issues with my skin. But due to the fact that Im a heterosexual man, Its very normal -  i know gay men look better than me :-)
Its not a big problem anymore, and due to my numbers, the doctors dont think its hiv related anymore - or the Ofuji can still make some flares now and then.

My question is in regard to my new meds, they put me on today.

My combo before was Truvada and Isentress, and the new one is Truvada and a new "stuff" named Tivicay - have anyone here experiance on this meds ?

Thx in advance - and hope everyone out there will have a nice weekend.

We are poz, but we always need to have a possitive mindset :-)

Hugs and love
Peder

Hey Peder...

It's always OK to post here and update your news! I don't know much about Tivicay except that it is new and is supposed to be "easier on your system." My ID doc has talked to me about changing my med from Atripla to Epzicom/Tivicay because it minimizes side effects like issues with Triglycerides and Creatine.

anytime anyone wants to know something about a med, they should google the name of the med and the words "Package insert" (ie google "Tivicay package insert"). This will get you the official doc about that med.

Hi Peter -

I tested poz July 11 (seems to be a few others who did as well).  VL was 12,700 and CD 730.  Started Truvada and Tivicay July 25.  Blood test on Monday August 18.  I have had no side effects other than actually feeling more focused.  Also I take my meds in the morning and look forward to it--weird I know, but I do.  Will keep you posted on my counts.  I noodled around on google to find out what the best meds were for HIV, all I found is that one site said Truvada is very potent and that Tivicay did well in trials.  I don't speak math or science language at all.  But another doc at my clinical said my ID doc is a "rock star".  So if a rock star says take this combo I am going with it.

Great news about your CD 4 counts.  Let me know how the combo is going for you.  Cheers!

My doctor said this meds is easier to take, because only 1 tablet per day, furthermore its very potent, but should have less sideeffects..

Hi Peter --

I started Truvada Tivicay on July 25 .  On August 18, I was UD with an assay that shows detectable if greater than 20.  So this is a good combo.  Keep me posted.

I was reading an article about if over 50 years old and have AIDS, one's CD4 can never reach above 350. But Peter, your CD4 increase from 0 to 800. Your story would encourage many people.....really happy for you.
