read a post in the woman's forum
« on: February 21, 2008, 10:44:22 pm »
I just read a entry in the women's forum that I would have loved to post a reply to, however I obeyed the rules. It was asking where the "straight poz men are". It would seem from the replies that the straight women (on the forum) are frustrated and would like to date.

After trying POZ personals I can tell you it isn't any easier finding straight Poz girls. Although the girls I've "meet" in posts on the AMG forums seem sooo nice and interesting, BUT, they are usually taken or hundreds of miles away.

So maybe the straight poz girls who are forum members that are looking for straight poz males for friendship or dating should look closer in the forums and not in POZpersonals.

Bosco, the women in the forums already know that the majority of men who post in pozpersonals are not worth the time.   We're all quite capable of finding our own partners without advice from the men, here or anywhere else.  If you're so turned out by one of the ladies, I suggest you pm her and not make a whole thread out of the subject.  *shakes head*

Hmm, has someone caught your fancy, Bosco? Just wondering...For the record, only one straight man has hit me up but it is more on a friend level because he is so far away from me. If he was closer, would I consider dating him? Sure, he seems to be a lot of fun. No other straight man from the forums has approached me but maybe they have their reasons, I dunno. I seem to have fever for few of the gay men on here. If you have seen some of my previous posts, I flirt with them quite often. I know I will never have a snowball's chance in hell with any of them but I just can't help myself. And I think if I did find a poz man it would make my love life probably a helluva lot easier.

I don't even go on the women's forum.
I want the Ladies to have there say without old Lucas lurking in there like a peeping tom.

I don't mind being peeped at, lol.  If I didn't want the world to know, I wouldn't post it.

But yes, it was difficult to find a straight poz guy to date.  The one I did find turned out to be a headcase, which just tells me that this stigma can really take its toll on us emotionally.

I was lucky enough to meet a great neggie, and after disclosing early on, we are very happy together.  :)

Well Betty -
You certainly JUMPED to a big conclusion after you MISINTERPERTED what I was saying in the thread. First, if I was interested in a forum girl, I wouldn't make a public post announcing the fact. I was merely "thinking out loud" after reading a post entitled Where are all the straight men posted by Wishful, November 15, 2007. BTW you were reply #13 to that very post.
As an aside, unless you are the guardian of the casual conversation forum, why in the world would you care WHAT TOPIC any member decides to make a thread out of.
Lighten up...Betty.

I met my man on some personals I don't remember which one back in 99.  The whole scene leaves a lot to be desired. To put it nicely- it SUCKED  ;D I talked to quite a few wierdos with a lot of baggage.  It all depends on what you want and if you can wade through the bullshit.  Seeing it is the internet a lot of people have no problem lying thier asses off and making themselves up to be something they are definately not.  This goes both ways, male and female.  I posted on there recently just looking for female friends and have had no luck.....maybe people just have one thing on thier mind, I can't call it.  Maybe you can meet people through your local ASO?  Not that many people that are positive are outright vocal about it but I think it is kind of strange that I have been poz for 14 yrs now and I have never met(in person) anyone else with having to jump through hoop after hoop.  Like I said, I can't call it or figure it out.  I just know everyone deserves to happy and not alone whether they are straight, bi, gay, les or trans.  If you are looking, whoever you are, good luck!

When you keep trying, you succeed.  I have been poz 14 years and only in 2007 did I start to reach out.  I joined a support group and I dated a poz guy.  Which turned out better?  Definitely meeting all of the gay guys in my support group.

Yes, homos have all of the fun.   :-*   :D
