I'm pretty new to these forums, having just learned my status in February of this year. What a great resource this place is, not only of info related to HIV but also for the sense of community it imparts. I've been reading and re-reading for the last few months, cramming as much information into my head as I possibly could so that when I visit the doctor, I'm as armed and ready as possible. It's starting to pay a dividend.
Since my diagnosis, I began meds almost immediately following my first blood work and struggled with PCP and significant weight loss which almost killed me. My CD was 45 and VL 280k.
Today, I received news that my VL, in just 4 short months, has dropped to undetectable and my CD is 110 and climbing. I know I'm not out of the woods just yet but I feel like I could lift a house right now.
I'd like to thank those who post to these forums for providing such frank accounts of their lives - both the bad and good. It's been in reading your comments that has helped me to keep my head above water and to put one foot in front of the other each day. ;D

Thanks for your kind words.

Your results very closely mirror mine from 1996. I nearly died from PCP in 1996, started meds immediately, have been undetectable since 1998. I am very happy for you. Have the best day
