starting tenofovir....
« on: August 31, 2012, 08:45:02 am »
I just switched out AZT for tenofovir.  I am now taking NVP 3TC and Tenofovir.

I am having some strange side effects, but not bad. I feel fuzzy and fatigued and I have a lot more diarrhea.  I had headaches for a while, but they have subsided.

I was hesitant to change off my old regimen because it boosted my CD4 by nearly 300 points.  But I couldn't live with the GI and liver pain any longer.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, I guess so.  This is my second meds change although it has been a while.  I guess I just forgot what it was like.

Anyway, I am starting to feel better.

Thanks for the reply;  I appreciate it.

I'm taking Tenofovir with my combo and never felt those side effects. Might be the switch that's causing it and you might need to give your body some time to adjust.
