Some names are self-explanatory e.g. jeffreyj, sweetasmelia, livingpositively, etc. - Others are a bit more, um, cryptic? I was just wondering if anyone cared to explain why they chose their screen name. Thanks  ;)

I chose además as my moniker at another forum years ago...I can't remember exactly why...but I keep using it.  I like the word.

It's spanish for "besides" or "in addition" or "furthermore".

I grew up riding in saddle clubs, quarter horses are the main type I have always ridden. I also ride morgans, a much larger breed.
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: IT GOES ON.

first iggy this here's for you

okay holistic usually means yoga, meditation, nutrition, acupuncture, "eastern"

allopathic usually means hospitals, vaccinations, HAART, CAT scans, EKGs, sonograms, chemotherapy, "western"

i combined the two for my name because i see the merits of both. there are also grey areas. an example would be infusion therapy which is both holistic and allopathic

I have a confession.. My birth given name is "Cows".  Given the stigma and confusion, I changed it to "Eric" in an effort to conform and not be a target of cheap ass lamo slogans.  Although I do miss being mounted from time to time... ;D

Alex reminded me of the young boys who where constantly playing jokes on "Tipping me over" when I slept...  That was the last "STRAW!"

Swede_Dish is just a play on Swedish. Haha simple.

Lotusintheconcrete  (my former name) : I have a lotus tattoo on my back and it's a peaceful symbol. I lived in a fairly urban area at the time I came up with the handle so it just kind of fit.

Mine is simple enough.

I live in Aztec, therefore I am an Aztecan, although, even though I have resided here nearly 18 years, I am not yet considered a native.

My first nickname ever revolved around potatohead  because of the spelling of my last name.  When I started emailing Stuart's family with funny articles and stuff like that, his sisters started calling me Jason Potato.  I thought it was kind of cute, so I guess this name is just reinforcement.

My previous name on the old forums was UofMurbs which combined the school I was attending with the abbreviations of my undergraduate major - Urban Studies.  I figured I was getting a little old for that name  ;)

Moffie65

Years ago, a friend of mine from  South Africa named me "Moffie", which in Afrikans means "Little Faggot".  It is usually a negative word and is used as dirisivly as "Faggot" or "Queer" is used in this country.  I don't mind, and have named some of my cars this name also.  Rinaldo never meant it as negative and used it as a "cute" term.

The "65" ...  Simple also, it is the year I graduated from High School.

My screenname is the "preferred" way of pronouncing the town where I come from--Louisville.  Some want to say "loo-ee-ville" or worse "lou-is-ville" but locals here insist the correct way is to say "lou-ah-vull."
