A BIG THANK YOU TO THIS FAMILY HERE!!
« on: August 21, 2012, 01:20:35 pm »
Hi All,
Am sure you wondering who this is..well some of you remember an "Md34" who posted once like 6 months ago in Positive Women after finding out i was poz and disappeared. This is she. first am logged on using a different username because i forgot my password lol, must be the confusion that comes with new disturbing information.

I really want to say thanks to all of you for always writing, you might not know this but it really helps when i feel lost and feel like I am alone and cannot face another day. Just reading experiences and advises by all of you makes me realize that the road ahead might be tough but I am not alone and there are people always ready to hear you out and advise.

So 6 months down the line and I haven't still been able to confide to my family or friends. Emeraldize from my initial post I did not disclose as you thought simply because of stigma. So for now it's just me and the doctors. I believe with time i will get the strength to do so.

From crazy eating plans to gaining lots of weight, depression, shutting out my friends, trying to make new one's , killing my social life and finally to acceptance that nothing can be changed and I need to get a grip of myself. Here I am ready to face whatever comes along. I am slowly  learning to live a day at a time. So for now i just want to say a big THANK YOU & HUGS to this family here. You might not know it but the advise you give is priceless. It helps dozens and dozens of people ( I being one) who feel like they cannot go on with life.

Hugs
MB12

I could write the very same story as you, every thing close to the same.  Thank goodness we have this place to be ourselves.  I, too, appreciate everyone in my new extended family.

I'm glad you dropped back in and get comfort and knowledge from this site.  I know it has helped me.  Don't feel pushed into telling others.  Tell people when it feels right for you.

Take care.

Hey Former MD34!

So glad to see you're back complete with a new moniker.

Just a bit of housekeeping.  I reread the thread where we first met and I picked up Karry's relationship with her mum and sis in her post and combined it in one of my posts to you. Highly likely I was asleep at the keyboard and blended them.

As we discussed, you'll know when it's right for you to disclose, to whom and why.
I am glad to learn you settled on a doctor because you were making that decision at the time.

I agree with you that this site is a resource, a refuge, a reflection and thankfully ripe with comedy --mostly in the Off Topic zone.

Hugs back to you.
Em

Hi MB, nice to see you here again.

While you really shouldn't have started a new account (having more than one account here can be grounds for a permanent ban), I'm going to let you slide this time because I understand your confusion. Just don't do it again. Make sure you use a password you'll remember or write it down somewhere safe. I've disabled your original account so you won't be able to use it again.

I'm glad to hear you're doing a little better. It will continue to get better, believe it or not. You're the same person you were before diagnosis and you can still plan for the future. Hang in there!

Hugs,
Ann
