Patrick Swayze
« on: March 05, 2008, 07:23:24 pm »
I was sorry to hear that Patrick Swayze is diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.   This is a particularly nasty form of cancer, and I believe is what Michael Landon died from.  I lost both parents to cancer, my Mother to pancreatic cancer when I was only 8 yrs old.

My prayers are for peace and mercy for Patrick, his family and friends.

Alan, I just heard about this.  I feel bad for him, but he seems like a fighter.  Like you, I hope for peace for him.

I heard a teaser on Entertainment Tonight but missed the story, so I'm very sad to hear that it's this bad news.  I've not seen much of his work, but I have much respect for him taking the lead in To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.  That can't have been an easy decision to make.

Patrick is well responding to the chemio, and it is more likely that he will survive.
God Bless You Patrick !

I hope he beats it. I have had 2 grandparents and my best friend die from forms of cancer and it's a horrible way to go.   Cristy

Though he's honestly not my favorite person in the world due to hours upon hours of being forced to watch Dirty Dancing, that is very sad. I hope whatever happens it is the least painful as possible.
