May be is it good idea to go to Africa and other developing nations to get better medical care?  I'm just thinking this as an alternative.

From the article:

Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq:GILD) announced today an expansion of its global access program in an effort to provide accelerated access to Gilead medicines for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. The changes announced today include new licensing terms with four India-based drug manufacturers - Hetero Drugs Ltd., Matrix Laboratories Ltd., Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. and Strides Arcolab Ltd. -

Hetero Drugs? Srsly?

I was just thinking the same thing.  I am scared to go to school because ADAP and Medicare aren't options so if I lose my health insurance I'm out in the cold.

That's horrible. You can't get ADAP if you go to school?

The health care system in the US is so screwed up, not that that's a news flash.

I think I can get some form of student medical coverage but I have no idea if it covers medications for HIV, I also don't know if it would cover me between semesters.  These are questions I need to ask but that I really don't want to.  ADAP is possible if you're in school, but Louisiana has a waiting list, so I kind of fucked myself by getting covered with health insurance and dropping off of Louisiana's ADAP, because now I would be number 850+ or something stupid and seeing as I can't really afford to go off of meds or I would get tuberculosis that's not really an option for me.

I just cannot believe that most of southamerican countries have better HIV/AIDS medic program access than such a powerfull, rich and big country like US, I just cannot understand what is happening other there...

What seems me most impactant is the war against generic made in developing world because of pharmaceutical pattents (from UE and US labs, but with the support of those states)...

No matter how old you get we'll always love your witty comebacks.  Just let me know when you're going to make one.
