girlfriend had sex with condom with boy, was afraid of  possible lleakage or slipage. symptoms.
hiv pcr dna  test at  2 months and elisa test neg.
possible  seroconversion??? does she need to go back at 3 month for elisa again?

Puff,

You've been around here long enough to know that this is a no risk situation. Protected sex is just that, protected. You're friend is not seroconverting, and she needs no further testing. The ones she's already had were totally unnecessary.

You should also be aware by now that PCR testing is not approved for diagnostic purposes.

I understand that condoms are effective IF   used properly. I should have elaborated: my mistake.
She was worried because as he withdrew he did not hold the base of the condom he was also very flacid.  she  was afraid of some of the semenal fluid would have leaked? if he was that limp some of the semenal fluid could move a little more freely and was worried it did not perhaps all stay just  in the recepticle tip.
Would it make a difference that he uncircumcized??

A negative DNA PCR at two months... a negative antibody test... all following a low risk situation? The both of you can stop worrying, that's for certain.

I have a general question around testing. although not the regular round of testing and a Pcr is  very expensive... how accurate are they for viral Dna Pcr? lets say at 2 months anyone know.

I read the Elisa is the standard test. at 2 months I hear they are 50% accurate and at 3 months around 97 % accurate or something..

so if one tested neg at 2 months pcr and 2months elisa is it safe to say they are clear  or should they continue withe the three month elisa and 6 months?? good question
