« on: June 13, 2011, 02:10:01 am »
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I have checked in. I started meds on April 4th. I got my last blood results back last Friday. My Tcells went up from 526 to 634 and my Vload is undetectable. My liver and kidneys are excellent. No side effects from th meds. Taking insentress and truvada. Back to my old self. Feeling healthier then I have in a very long time. Moved and am enrolling in going bck to College for a new degree. Peace everyone.

I'm so glad to hear that - especially since I'm on the same regimen.

For those of us who joined the forums recently, is this your first medication or did you switch?  Your 526 CD4 numbers - is that your first number since your diagnosis?

Thanks - and good job to you!
04/19/11 - Diagnosed positive
04/29/11 - CD4 188 @ 12.5% / VL 18k
05/03/11 - CD4 171 @ unk% / VL 7k
06/04/11 - Start Truvada/Isentress
07/11/11 - CD4 not tested / VL UD
09/07/11 - CD4 252 @ unk% / VL UD

I started Truvada on July 20 and Insentress on July 23
My initial CD4 was 83

Follow up Blood work on August 3
CD4 Count 160 after 2 and half weeks of being on the drug.  This is good news and doctor was very encouraged to see my positive reaction to the meds.

However I'm struggling with CD4 count of 83.   Isn't this AIDS territory?   They ever only said I was HIV positive.

Huh? You should have started both on the same day.

I just wanted to say congratulations on your success with I&T - I've read elsewhere that it caused problems for some people, but it's very comforting to hear a success story!

So glad to hear a success story. There are so many awful stories here on this forum, about people not coping, wanting to die and what-not.

I'm on the same page man, feeling healthier than ever. Best of luck to ya.
