Atripla and leg pain

Hi everyone. So my boyfriend has been on Atripla for a couple months now and since then he's been feeling bad leg pain. The doctor told him it was just side effects but I was wondering if anybody had a similar problem and if it goes away. He's also constantly tired where as I'm full of energy. Then again I've been on Atripla a bit longer than he has. About 5 months. Is there anything he can do or take that would help with the leg pain. He doesn't wanna ask for more meds so something natural would be better. thanks

One of the symptoms I had on Atripla was leg and chest pain . It angers me when I hear stories where doctors have said things like its only side effects , makes you wonder what he or she would tell himself or a family member if they were in pain from a medication when there are other choices .

Check out those threads about Atripla and talk to your doctor and see if your bf has other meds to try that wont make him miserable . Best of luck .

hi there,
Atripla caused leg pain and cramps after having taken it for about 7 months, then i started losing feeling in my feet, pins and needles.  Ended up with small fiber nerve damage which my neurologist concluded it was something in the Atripla causing it.

My HIV doctor changed my meds and after a long while i began getting feeling back in  my feet and the pins and needles subsided quite a bit.  Once in a while i have a flare up, but nothing ike it was. 

Just keep an eye on the symptoms, if it gets worse see your doctor and discuss.
