feeling very weird need help
« on: September 23, 2013, 08:56:30 am »
Hello,
on Friday i was in a festival and hooked up with a girl that i have never met. she took me away from the crowd and suggested we had sex but i had no condoms so i refused and she ended up giving me a blowjob. two days later i start feeling a small pinch in the tip of my penis and this weird urge to pee now and then. now i know that this is no indicator of HIV and more of chlamydia or gonorrhoea, but today the lymph nodes in my groin are swollen and my neck feels a little puffed and numb from one side with no pain at all. i have no fever and no pain in those areas. I also wanted to know if i get infected with chlamydia or gonorrhoea does that increase my chances of getting HIV. I have an appointment with a urologist tomorrow and i just wanted to hear your opinions on this matter thank you in advance.

You didn't have a risk receiving oral sex . The theoretical risk for HIV comes into play when a person performs oral sex on a HIV positive male with a high viral load as well as other factors .

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME for this incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

thank you Jeff, i never knew that the theoretical risk is only from preforming not receiving and also thanks for the advice i always try to keep safe...a drunk night out can be fun but also can lead you down twisted roads. is it true that I have an increased chance of getting HIV if am infected with another STD?

Its true but only if you engage in a activity thats a risk . The risk factors are as follows .

Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth
Very specific healthcare situations.

HIV is a fragile virus and is actually virtually impossible to transmit unless very specific conditions are met such as what occurs during unprotected vaginal and anal sex .

It has nothing to do with HIV ... you cant get HIV from getting a BJ so if you are unwell go see your doctor and find out what the problem is , its not HIV .
