Tanning & Lab Numbers

So today is a glorious beach day in Vancouver.

I was planning on catching a few rays and then getting my labs done but if a tan is an immune response of the body to sun, will it skew my numbers?

Why are you tanning with all of the skin issues you have?  That doesn't sound like a good idea, or did I miss a thread where all of that had been resolved?

If tanning is your usual habit, then not tanning would 'skew' your numbers.

I don't understand what is accomplished by 'cooking' your labs to try for the highest numbers.  If anything, it would be more useful to see how low you can go.

Edited to add: If tanning even has an effect, that is.

Tanning seems to help the eczema/psoriais. Its neutral to slightly negative for my rosacea, but I figure that's a trade off I can live with for the mental boost it gives me.  Living in an area with long wet grey winters,  I need to make all the Vitamin D I can now!  ;D

Note on skin issues: I've been reading some articles online linking beta blockers to psoriasis.  Wish I'd known that before I started on them a few years ago.
