My younger brother's new dog,  his name is Dougal and he's a purebred Vizsla - a Hungarian dog... 8 weeks old - my brother just got him this weekend.

He is so beautiful, I don't think I have ever come across one of those before.

What a great thread.  Took me a while to read and look through it again and I loved it.  Not only are we a good looking bunch, so are our pets. ;)

My WVA granny always told me growing up to never trust people who don't love animals.  Well, I can see there are a lot of on this site.  Ms Lily is my best friend.....lol  I meant most loyal...

Great pics All!

This thread is wonderful and a howl, too. Between Miss P's Pretty Peonies winning for most low-maintenance pet and Peter Parker is perhaps the most Petrifying, this is funny! And Jan's darling Dallan looks like the kind of stuffed animal you'd want in your bedroom as a kid.

I've not had a success in uploading a photo. I may try later. I have a five-year-old Panther. Just kidding. I have a 17-year-old Hyena. No, that's not actually true, I sold the Hyena. I've got a very dear cat that joined me shortly after my dx and made my home life much sweeter---still does.

@Jan - and he is only 11 weeks old; my brother is sending him to three weeks of obedience school next week - because he is showing his ass when my brother leaves him alone even for a little bit - tearing things up at the house, etc.  He is working with a "dog whisperer" - someone who is skilled in getting dogs to obey and follow basic rules.... My brother had the dog with him at a hotel on a work trip recently and left the dog at the hotel (which was dog friendly) while he went to work - and they had to call him because the dog was barking so much and acting up so much that it was disturbing the other guests.

Then the dog figured out how to escape from his doggy cage and tore his leg up doing it - it cost my brother about $500 in vets bill ---

they get so attached to their owners that they have to have special training to be able to deal with the whole detachment thing ---- very high strung, but also very loyal... the dog even jumps in the shower with my brother when he is in there.....

So, we shall see how it goes....

Oh dear..separation anxiety is a pretty horrible thing for our wee pets to go through, hope he is able to get through it all OK with some training.

My parents brought me up with the same thought, if people don't like animals, they're not people you want to know!!

How did that cat manage to slide UP the middle part of the slide? Was he stoned or what?
