Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Knife injury..

Hello
I hope somebody can to help for me,i have 2 son,i am worried about 8 weeks.My story start  8 weeks ago:When i made  the dinner,cut my hand with knife,the injury was deep and bleeding.The family freinds help for me the bandage it..he help for me and he H+ more than 10 years under the treatment.For him was little sores on the fingers when help for me.He told me after not need the worried, not was any risk,because he under the treament Viral load under 400 pg/ml maybe undetectable and can't infections.
After this accident i try to live my normal life,with my family.I made the love my husband without condom.About 2-3 weeks later my husband got sick(Fever,sore throat,...)the symptoms started on monday,tuesday got medicine and wendesday afternoon get better feels.We very worried after that.
And after start the testing period(but thr freinds told me,that not need)..My husband was on wendesday,when got the better feels.
And me 3,4,5,6,7 week after the accident, a made the Hiv duo and combi test,after 8 weeks hiv insti rapid test..I still worried,because i have the family...
Pls help for me.need more test?My freinds told me,don't worried,because not was risk,not problem that was small sores him the fingers...This its true?

You are worrying needlessly. I've read your details carefully. Nothing you are reporting would have put you at risk for HIV transmission. The kind of contact you are concerned about with an HIV+ person was not a risk. Period. HIV is a fragile virus and not transmitted through that kind of contact.

Stop worrying and get on with your life. There is no need for testing.

I have one more question:
i am worried,because what its story( we don't know) if  him finger sores touching my bleeding sores when bandage it my injury....still its zero risk?

I have read all your questions carefully and agree 100% with moderator Andy , you did NOT have a risk . 

HIV is fragile and easily damaged rendering it unable to infect the instant its exposed to air , that's why sores on HIV positive people pose no risk in the transmission of HIV .

You can put this out of your mind , you simply could not have gotten HIV from your friend in this manner .

HIV is acquired from unprotected penetrative vaginal or anal sex , from sharing drug injection equipment and from mother to child during childbirth . I wouldn't  think any of these situations are something you are doing with your friends so don't worry about getting HIV from them .

Sorry but my english not the best,but i think missing one"not" before "pose"...
 
I try  can put this out of your mind...but not to easy...
