I wanted to wish everyone a very safe, happy, and healthy Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year. Mom is coming into town today - friends from California will be in town tomorrow - so, it will be a busy few days. This will be first family Christmas without my dad present - so, there is a bit of sadness - but, we have committed ourselves to enjoying and including him in memory.

Oh, and for those who are shivering, shoveling, and sniffling through the cold weather - here is the holiday weather forecast for Fort Lauderdale, Florida  ;D

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas!  We had planned on our 3rd annual trip to Florida right after Christmas and into the new year, but things got in the way.  We were going to hit Miami first and then Key West.  I love it down there for New Year's and my b-day.  Perhaps, a late January trip will work out.  By then, we'll really be sick of the cold here.

Phil, I hope your holiday celebrations go well and you get a chance to relax.

It's 43 degrees F and raining here in Austin. No complaints though, and I'm sure Wumpy would agree.

Merry Christmas all!  Heading out to work shortly and expect to be busy.  I was told we wouldn't be busy yesterday since it was Christmas eve.  I agreed to be the cook  since how hard would it be to cook a few eggs?  Well....it was one of the busiest days we had all year!  Don't these people have families?  At least today I'm bartending.  I know how to make drinks, not like cooking eggs.  I did laugh whenever people tried to order them specific ways; I was like right, you'll get them however.  They knew better than to complain.

Happy holidays to you all and I hope each and every one of you has a prosperous new year!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas day - I spent the day with my mother and brother - of course, I ate too much (ham, broccoli/cheese, vegetables, potatoes/gravy, dinner rolls, and apple pie and ice cream for dessert).... it was a tiring drive back home. Getting ready to head out in a bit with my mother and brother again and go to the beach for a bit (we think) and then perhaps check out a movie.

Back to work on Wednesday for two days - then off for the New Year for another 4 days..... vacation time goes so fast.

Hope everyone has a great New Year --- 2012 here we come!

Hope all had a beautiful Christmas! I had a great time with the kiddos. Food, drink, presents, more drink. However all the merry-making didnt come without a price, it seems I twisted my knee while playing Wipeout on Xbox Kinnect, on the "big balls" part of course. So im a little gimpy and limpy, but jacked up on Hydrocodones. So life is good, especially since I beat my son in the game!

Barbara please. I was high on klonopin at my brother's church. I'm surprised that I didn't fall over on the way up for communion.

ps: I do indeed hope that I wasn't the only Southern Girl on here that had salt-cured country ham for the celebrations of the birth of Our Lord.

pps: Need I mention the glorious finale to the holidays when my Dad drove me home today and caught a glimpse of Hot Body in Rio de Janeiro laying next to the large flat screen? ::)

But was it salt-cured or a spiral honey ham?

Silly me, like you know the difference.

ps: And who would this "we" be? You're single.

pps: I am having grilled portabella and shallot sausages with gratin potatoes (no, not Betty Crocker from a box) and chocolate hazelnut gelato for New Year's dinner.

Black eyed peas are the single most disgusting food on the Earth.

Ok, well yes "We"= My Aunt and cousins

and its a well known fact that if you do not eat Black Eyed peas on New years you will have bad luck all year long. Clearly this has been your problem all along.
