Well, after 21 years (22, by the time it happens), Sid and I have decided to make "honest men" out of each other.

We are getting married next Sept. 1.  The Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel & Spa, in Foxboro, Mass will be the place.  We decided to do it right, so a small-ish gathering of 50-75 family and friends will help us celebrate.  We will follow it up with a week in Aruba.

It won't mean diddly-squat here in Virginia -- but it will mean plenty to us.

And yes -- of course I'll be wearing white...........

 Tested positive in 1985,.. In October of 2003, My t-cell count was 16, Viral load was over 500,000, Percentage at that time was 5%. I started on  HAART on October 24th, 2003.

Thanks all.  We are excited about it.  Sid is handling most of the wedding details -- of course, I'll insert my suggestions, as needed.  I'll be sure to keep you all updated.  We've picked the place (see original post) -- after the ceremony, we will have a cocktail reception on the hotel Terrace -- overlooking Gillette Stadium (we and our families are big NE Patriot fans..... maybe Tom Brady will stop by our suite -- oh wait, I'll be married then.......).  We'll be making a trip up to the area shortly after the holidays for a tasting, to decide the dinner choices and the cake and the flowers.  then we have to figure out how to work out the license -- it's only good for 3 months once you get it -- and there is a three day "waiting period" after you apply, so we'll have to time that one out.
 I'm handling the "honeymoon".  All he knows is it's in Aruba.  He has no idea that I've been hoarding my Marriott reward points for just this occasion.  We are going to have a beach front, concierge level room, with balcony.  it's a $750/night room -- all for nothing but my points.  I figured that since we are only getting married once, we might as well do it in style.  We thought about a cruise -- but we do that once or twice a year anyway, so I figured that he deserved a week at the beach -- he just loves to bask in the sun.
As for registering somewhere -- not sure yet.  We certainly don't need anything for the house --we've lived there for over 10 years -- it has TOO MUCH stuff in it -- we don't need more.  Perhaps some sort of travel-like registry.  We do love to travel after all.

Anyway -- thanks again for all the good wishes -- I really am a little surprised at just how excited I am about the whole thing.  After 21 years, I just wasn't expecting it.
