Oh God.

No really... oh my God.

It's a documentary about a Pentecostal children's camp... there's something uniquely disturbing about seeing kids "lay hands on" a cardboard cutout of Our Dear President Shrub and then chant, "Righteous judges! Righteous judges! Righteous judges!"

Cheers to the filmmakers for doing something about nutjob religious types in the Midwest.

Ted Haggard was in it... before his little banner story broke, obviously.

Oh, and it's a legitimate documentary... no heavy-handed Michael Moore-esque propaganda thrown in your face.

I just watched Jesus Camp.

OH PLEASE.............

Did he sleep in the nude?
Does he really like fishermen more than say construction workers?
Are any of his mannerisms nelly?
Does he really wear sandals and a dress? I have heard a lot about S and M, but I never knew it meant "Sandals and Makeup".
Does he mince when he walks?

Oh so many questions, so little time.

I used to be a counselor at a "Jesus Camp". Only Junior High School boys for me, but then I was also one.......

Yeah I watched this a few months back. INCREDIBLE! The utter brain washing that occurs is astounding. It's Orwellian at best and extremely close to radical islam. The ones I feel the most sorry for are the children. They don't know any better. And they arent being given the chance to really expand their minds like children should. The human race will take a HUGE GIANT LEAP forward in our advancement the day religion is cast into the shadows. It will be only then that we see what true intelligent life can be on this planet......

Sadly..... I think we will kill ourselves off before this happens.

The Igreja Universal in Brazil today is, in my opinion, the biggest thief ever in the history of all the evangelical churches in the country. And, "yes", you're right! They apply the same techniques to the masses in each and every sense.

I remember that film. It was very disturbing in more ways than one. I remember as a kid being drug to Christian camp and being left there by my parents. It was a similar experience. Creepy.
