Coming to San Francisco...
« on: November 21, 2007, 08:40:57 pm »
Hey there kids! Norm and I will be coming to San Francisco on Monday, November 26. I will be having my Transplant evaluation on Tuesday, the 27th. I was hoping that we would be able to meet up with some folks from this here site. We will be getting there on Monday morning, and will have that day and evening as well as Tues. afternoon/evening. We will be returning home on Wednesday morning.

If there is anyone there who is interested in getting together while we are there, please let me know either on this thread or PM me. I'm definitely looking forward to meeting some members of my "family".

Damn!

I have to go back to go back home (San Simeon - Hearst Castle) on the 25th
:(. I had a procedure at UCSF last Thursday, and have been here ever since (I'm staying at my Aunt's house while she is at her sister's (my mother's!)).

While I've been here, I've gotten together with AllanQ & JohnOso, and will be seeing Rich (PozAttitude) this Saturday.

I would really encourage you to contact with AllanQ within the next few days.  He is a truly wonderful person, and would be a great contact for information or for getting together to explore the City.

You should also try to get in touch with JohnOso, although he has a very demanding schedule at work and is not always free.  He's a wonderful man, so much fun  :) to be with... he and I were given a great tour of parts of Golden Gate Park and the new deYoung Museum of Asian Art (rebuilt since the last big e'quake) by Allan.  The three of us truly enjoyed the time we spent together.  If you do go to Golden Gate Park, make sure to visit the National AIDS Memorial Grove... I worked really hard not to break down after I saw the names of a few old friends... probably should have just let go, and probably would have if I'd been alone.

I hope you enjoy your time on the west coast.  If you are here long enough to travel south to the Big Sur area, I work at Hearst Castle, and can bring you to the hilltop for a tour.

All my best for a successful visit.

Vince

Carl,

Wishing you the best with the transplant situation....I sure hope you do get to meet Allan, John and Rich....3 wonderful S.F. guys!

Also, if you go to Twin Peaks bar in the Castro, have a drink for Mark and me as well... (coffee or soft drinks will be fine, I'm sure you're not drinking!)

hugs,

Alan

Hi Carl,

I can't make any promisses as my schedule is sort of hectic lately but give me a call on Tuesday and hopefully I can meet you for dinner.
