Ok, so I now know my first CD4 and VL numbers, which are as follows:

CD4 -     425     22%
VL-        32,415 copies (on the test with the 400 copy threshold)

I tested negative for hepatitis, and my complete blood count and metabolic panels were both good. Also, the genotyping showed that the virus I "inherited" isn't known to be drug resistant, which is good news. At this point I'm just waiting for the doctor to review my results and decide what he wants to suggest. (the nurse gave me the results). At times I feel really angry that I am poz, in addition to all the other sh*t I've gone through in my life. But mostly I'm just trying to focus on my studies, as the semester just started last week.

Could anybody direct me to any studies that have been done regarding starting HAART early vs. waiting and how it impacts long term health and survival or other pertinent information to my situation and numbers. Thanks!
