My Enemy is the HIV...

I think this site is a great gathering place for all of us and our friends.  I am just taking a moment to remind everyone that we should focus all or our negative energy on that virus that is messing up our lives, not each other.  Comments and thoughts that push us apart, only help the enemy.

I don't think Moffie is saying you can't be positive about life. He is making a valid point that HIV is not a benign illness or that taking a pill will lead to much happy skipping in fields. Just because he is pointing out one extreme view might not be right, don't think that he is the exact polar opposite of that.  He is just making an observation based on his experience. I think it is a valid point.

Now don't be like that. I admire your strength. But HIV isn't the only enemy. The stigma HIV still has after 25 years is one enemy that needs putting to bed. Unlike clearing infection from a body, that one should be do-able or done by now.

Exactly what way do you propose to unite against HIV? I'm curious.

This forum seems to be a place filled with people who enjoy making personal attacks on people, I put up a positive thought and the first response is a joke about my website...that's a personal attack..and exactly the kind of thing I don't need right now.  This site is infected with something worse than HIV...hate.  I'll be no part of it.

Well, before you leave...check your mailbox.  I sent you a PM.

And I don't blame you for having this impression right now.  This whole day has seen one big fight spread out over two separate threads.  They locked one...and might as well lock the other.

Dear Rayvjr,

Most of the time it has been a sweet place to hang out- to hear the stories of different folk, to get support in difficult times, to share inspiring words, etc.  I have laughed and cried.  I have grown from the experience of the new and old.

Keep your focus and hang around till the bitchy dust clears.  Egos aside, errors and problems and what not, there are BEAUTUFUL people here to love...

(AND I secretly love them all... well ACCEPT one or two... most of the time...)

Hey Ray,

I do understand that it hard to try and figure out what an underlying motive would be from a situation as such.

In fact, I did check out your website and I'd say that it is qute interactive and very well put together.

Just keep the faith and do not let anyone steal your Joy away from you.

Take care of YOU!

LOL.... Well in this case I dont mean the HIV is killing us.  My personal philosophy on life is more like....

Never take life too seriously because you will never get out alive!!!!!

So in this case I am referring to the fact that from day one its down hill!!!! LOL

AC:  Oh, Lordy!  I know!  Sometimes I feel like my body is falling apart so fast that I need a hardhat!

I just could not- could not resist throwing that little one out there.  It's been so, um...prickly round these here parts lately.

Skeebo:  I talked with the guy PM-style.  He seems quite nice.  I just haven't been able to tear myself away from these boards lately.  God, how could I?  It has been downright operatic on here!

Since the topic seems to be HIV being the enemy, has anybody else been behind line somebody at Bed, Bath & Beyond with a couple dozen items and then proceeds to pull out one of those damned 20% certificates for each item?  That's the enemy.  Scruff
