condom broke with escort and im scared
« on: March 06, 2013, 10:12:53 pm »
Hello everyone, i'm 22 yrs old and one of my biggest fears in life is getting a sexual disease. So since I came across this forum I have high respect for yall strength to live with HIV help others with HIV and give tips to idiots like me for what I did today.

earlier this afternoon I had sex with an escort, she have me oral w/o condom for no more than 1min after i put on a condom and got on top for maybe 1min and a half, then I decide to switch posistions, so while hitting it from the back (not anal) for maybe at the most 1min I decided this was boring and was go fake a climax, after i did that I took my penis out and realised the condom ripped and I freaked out, So i asked about her testing history and she claimed they gave her a mandatory test while in jail in january and she came back negative, and she also claim to give blood and said she would had been notified if she had anything, then she went on to say if i'm worried so much then go get tested, but i'm aware the results will not be conclusive this soon,

So my questions to everyone are, what are the chances of me getting hiv if she does have it? (remember i was exposed for 1min at most and did not ejaculate)

Should i consider PEP while i still can?

and are inmates really mandatory tested or did she lie?

Hi East , The condom break as you described it is on the lower end of risky but a risk none the less , so you will need to test . The oral sex wasn't and isn't a risk for HIV .

You will need wait 6 weeks post exposure to test and then again at 3 months to confirm your negative results .

All sexually active adults should be getting regular sexual health checkups at least once a year and more if you are very active , so just try and look at this as an opportunity to begin having those regular checkups if you haven't been doing them already .

Being optimistic I can say it certainly didn't increase the your chances that it was a brief possible exposure .This isnt the end of the world so just get yourself tested , expect a negative result and familiarize yourself with condoms and lube and move on .

There are links at the bottom of my message page about condoms and lube .

You can not diagnose HIV by guessing if a symptom fits like a puzzel . The only way to know if a person has been exposed to HIV is by testing .

I'm not being short or dismissive about your concerns , I'm just being honest with you and I think you will agree if you read the lessions section on the forum .
