Pretty cool

Comet ISON as viewed from the STEREO Space Telescope as it passes Mars and Earth. You can also see little Comet Encke in there too ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZi4Ecu_cfY

If ISON survives it's slingshot around the sun we may be able to see it in our sky in December.

The Australian is purdy, but what a ham in motion! Cheese ass posing there.

I'm fond of red-haired blue-eyed Tunisian striker Fakhreddine Ben Youssef. This dude is 6 3, and won't be surprised when some Parisian designer signs him to an ad campaign.

Nice.  Now, I will never understand why Mariah did a remake with the Beibs.  That song is one of the most popular Christmas songs.  She didn't need to revive it.  It's awful with him.  Sorry.

He didn't seem to be having as much fun as you were but then scaring the shit out of somebody is really all about you anyway . My friend Tim cuts hair and he had a bunch of those old foam heads you put wigs on . We propped about 6 of them up on the outside of the garage door looking in so that his nephew would leave us alone to work in the basement . The fun part was acting like we didn't see it .

This may seem boring, but this snake moth is cool.  Look how it's head looks just like a snake and how it has what looks like a rattle.  This always intrigues me, when discussing evolution and how an animal, insect, or fish began to take on characteristics of a "scary" animal, for protection.

That is super cool . I watched a nature documentary and it showed how rattle snakes in some regions have stopped using their rattle because they may be more likely to suffer or be killed if they give themselves away . The topic of the documentary was about showing how evolution can happen a lot more quickly than previously thought because the snakes not only stooped using the rattles some of them had non functioning or underdeveloped rattles .

Darwin was wrong about allot of things but what he was right about led to a revolution in how science views nature .

I know this is not a nature thread, but I saw a similar doc-- maybe the same.  These snakes on this island lost their rattle, due to what you're taking about.  And, these birds lost their ability of flight, because they no longer needed it-- so they say.  I am always fascinated by evolution and anything space related.

I am interested in how this happens.  Does one animal see how the snake, for example, is feared, so they begin to take on characteristics over time of the feared snake?  It makes me wonder how humans will change, due to how we live now.  Will we develop the ability to change channels by just thinking about it..lol.  Seriously, I do wonder what changes are happening now, that won't come to fruition for another (enter time frame here.)

This cracked me up.  I thought I was watching an SNL commercial parody.  What's up with the way she says bowl?  What dialect is that?

How do you say bowl? The way she says it sounds perfectly normal to my mid-western-trained ears. Even sounds normal to my more recently britspeak-re-trained ears.

The way you called it a dialect (as opposed to an accent) made me think it was going to sound like she was saying "bowel" or "bell" or something equally odd.

Oh, and it cracks me up that they're calling any dish prepared and presented in a "bacon bowl" as being "healthy". ::)

I smoked a tenderloin awhile back ( get your mind out of the gutter ) the recipe called for it to be weaved with bacon and had a semi difficult directions on how to weave a sheet of bacon to wrap it with . I did it and it was tasty but I will not do it again, it was just too much but I was surprised at how lean the bacon came out, not greasy at all .

Love this rendition of "A Song For You".  The young man at the piano channels Liberace's keyboarding style too!
