On nov 27 I had sex with a condom with a stripper. I only lasted about 10 seconds.I am uncircumcised and am worried that some vaginal fluid could have
infected me as I pulled the condom off, Or could have got in on the ride home. Two months after the exposure My
nodes in my groin and under arms swelled. I have tested at 5 weeks with a pcr dna, 9 week regular blood test, and at 13 weeks with a oral rapid test. Do
you think these test are conclusive. Some one told me I might have herpise infection, thats why my nodes are swollen, but I have no blisters. Would the herpies and hiv both infect me through the skin. Would the herpies alter the test results I have already taken. Thanks

Jude,

You have conclusively tested negative for hiv, which is hardly surprising considering you didn't have a risk. Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection.

Any sort of infection anywhere in the body can cause swollen lymph glands. So can touching them all the time to see if they're swollen. Keep your hands off them and see your doctor about them if you're worried.

You do not have hiv. Keep using those condoms correctly and consistently and you will continue to avoid hiv infection. Please check out the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them with confidence.

Thanks Ann for your reply. So you think my oral rapid test is good. I just here they have false + , how about a false -. So if I was infected with herpies would that affect my test results. Thanks

Jude,

Herpes will not affect your test results. False negatives don't happen when the test is taken at the appropriate time, which is three months.

You tested negative, with a reliable test, at the appropriate time and after a no risk incident. You ARE hiv negative. Keep using condoms and you will stay that way.

Sorry I could not help myself, I went and took a 18 week oral test. I hope
that will convince me i'm ok. negative at 18 weeks. I think I will make a appt
with mental health.

jude,

You're hiv negative - what more is there to say? If you're worried about your nodes, keep you hands off them and show them to a doctor. It's nothing to do with hiv - you are hiv negative.

And yes, if you can't let this go, see a mental health care professional. There's nothing more we can do for you here.

Ann just posted on someone reply, that
The urethra (where you pee and cum out of) is vulnerable to hiv infection and so is the foreskin if you have one. I am uncircumcised, is that the forskin. Why can you be infected through the foreskin. Does this apply to my exposure...

No Jude, this doesn't apply to your case since your test results prove that you are reliably and undoubtedly HIV negative.

Experts,
Ok I found out I have OCD. I am seeing mental health doc. It Is helping.
Now I have tested 3,5,8,13,18,22 and 44 weeks. All negative.... Is there still a chance?

Jude, seven negative HIV test results and you're asking if there's "still a chance"? And you've already been told how many times that you're HIV negative?

Keep working with your therapist. This is NOT and HIV situation. Really.
