Weirdest 7 days ever
« on: June 03, 2008, 04:01:54 pm »
Started off with my bank account being broken into and all my money being drained.  My apartment is infested with fleas for no reason. I'm not eligible for unemployment or SSI. My bank account was blocked but the hacker bypassed it somehow even when my balance was $0. So I was ripped off by the same hacker twice in a week and the people at Citibank are stumped cuz they put all these blocks on it. My new therapist is making me pay to see him.  And yesterday I wake up to find my year old car looking like this:

First I tried rubbing compound which didn't work.  But good ol' wax worked thank god.  When the shit hits the fan it really does in my life.

I might be mistaken, but it looks like some wrote "lolwut" on your car.

If your bank account was drained by someone who was able to hack into your banks system, isnt it their responsibility to get that money back to you ASAP?  I would think a break in their security would be their responsibility.

Oh, he'll get the money back eventually I think.  When this has happened with me they've actually credited the money back within 48 hours into an entirely new checking account that they set up.

There's quite a bit of this crap going on these days, unfortunately.  Banks really need to come up with some better security systems.

They are "still investigating". Therefore they won't reimburse me yet. I HATE CITIBANK.

Citibank DOES suck.  It's ALL about Wachovia.

According to most financial press, including The Charlotte Observer where I reside and Wachovia is headquartered, there is a distinct possibility that it may soon be all about JP Morgan Chase.  I personally, hope not, but just thought I would give a heads up.

Most distressing about your car, Thankfully it came off.

Actually, you are right.  I'm sorry I didn't even say anything about all that has happened to you.  It's really crappy that so much has occurred all at once, and I hope that it all gets a lot better soon.

Roi- I know! Soap and water and rubbing compound didn't do squat! Who knew that wax would take it off?

PeteNYNJ - the bank is taking forever to reimburse me...I don't know what rules are

next2u- my manager is a flake and claims that i'm the only one complaining about the situation. Maybe I'll call the owner of the building and complain.  I already spent money and fixing up my apt...maybe the landlord will pay for the bugspray.  We have 3 opossums living in the courtyard in back.  The fleas are actually in the laundry room.  I wore white socks to the knee and caught about ten of them.  He bombed it a month ago and they came back...I mentioned exterminating the opossums and he rolled his eyes at me.  I try to vacuum everyday and if I see one on my sock I pick it up and drown in soap and water.   Seems to be working well actually!

iggy- thanks....sorry about the med situation...I'm covered by ADAP...do they have it in your state? pm me if you want.
