I'm from Manila, 26 and bisexual. There is a high rate of HIV case here in the Philippines. My encounter is last month, I met a guy (rentboy to be specific) and doesn't know what is his status. He massage me and gave him a blowjob, the bj last 5min. and I think I've tasted his pre-cum. No anal sex involved that time. But the thing is, I have cuts in my tongue because I ate chips early morning and cut my tongue and mouth sore on my cheek. Is it possible that I can get HIV with that incident? I know it is a low risk but risk is still a risk.

I'm confused with all the information in the internet, some state that I might get HIV with it. Being paranoid and over-thinking about that incident, some symptoms related to it starts showing. Is it just my mind playing games with me? (haha)

Also, what are the symptoms other that flu-like symptoms that one can get when acquired HIV?

This isn't low risk, it's no-risk. And I am assuming the chap you had sex with is HIV positive.

HIV is a fragile virus, it is transmitted in very particular ways. Those ways are:

Unprotected vaginal and anal sex;
Sharing contaminated injecting equipment such as needles and syringes;
In some cases from HIV positive mother to her unborn or nursing infant.

You were not at risk of infection from this encounter and you do not need to be tested for HIV as a result of this incident.

Even though you do not need to be tested over this specific encounter like all sexually active people, you should be having a full sexual health screening at least once a year. Twice is better. If it's been a while since your last screening or if you've not had one before, you should visit your doctor or local clinic.

Hi I just came back from a vacation. My only worry is my mouth, I have a cut on my mouth while performing oral sex. I tasted some precum and I'm sure some of it touch my cut. Will this be a factor in transmission of HIV? My mind is playing tricks on me so I'm a bit paranoid at it.

You're still worrying needlessly. HIV is a fragile virus and even IF it was present, your saliva has over a dozen elements and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV.

There's no need for further concern on your part this time nor any need for testing. Really.
