i`m here with you.
« on: December 12, 2006, 02:15:57 am »
Hi! I`m from Russia. Why am I here? `cause I am pozitive for 7 years. At home I`m an activist and a volunteer, we have the same forums and chats, but I`ve realised lately that I need more. I am eager to get to know your experience as you have the same problems. Yor meds are more up-to-date. Well, you are smiling as my language is a little bit funny and too "right". But is it important? I would like to find friends, to share my experience if it`s possible. :) :)

Have a good day, guys. Nevertheless, I`m happy that I`ve found this site.

You`ll never guess, it took me three or four hours to find an analogous resource in English. This step is a way to make friends with my HIV-infection.  ;D I`m a minority in my country who have an opportunity to read foreigh resources. I neglected all this stuff for some years but not now. I work for an international AIDS-service organisation. I don`t deal with HIV itself but it still remains a very important part of my life. By the way, perhaps it would be logical to move my topic to "Off topics"? It has just occured to me.

Welcome, Pony.  It's nice to hear from the rest of the world here. :)  You posted that you yourself are positive, so as long as your thread is about you and your issues as someone who is positive, you were, I believe, correct in posting it here in the Living With section.  Win

Hello and welcome to our lovely community.  I am sure you will find this site is very informational, helpful and also loving and accepting of lots of different opinions.  This site will be what you make of it.  It can be dysfunctional and frustrating at times but mostly its warm and inviting.

Feel free to post as much or as little as you like about yourself at the time you feel it is appropriate.  I personally have put my entire life on this site and it has yet to bite back.  I consider this place a second family to me and love being here and sharing what I can with those I can.

Anyway…. Welcome, you have received my canned greeting deeming you WORTHY of further communication!!!

Agreed....it's the greatest band in my opinion, too.  But that still looks like a handshake of doom in their photo!

That`s marvelous! 13 years and only 3 years on meds. Personally I am not on meds yet and I hope that my health will allow me to live without ARVT for a couple of years. I`m planning to have my immune status test next week. A little bit nervous))) Some of my friends started meds after two years. In conpairison with them I consider myself a lucky person)))

Thanx, guys for REALLY warm welcome!

Howdy Wildpony,
Welcome! I am very glad you found us and have joined in!  ;D

It sounds like you are doing very well, which also is great news. I went for a number of years without meds (11) and come March, I will have been on meds for 11 years.

Keep us posted about your results. I hope they are very good!

I look forward to hearing more from you.

HUGS,

Mark
