I just got home
« on: September 18, 2007, 02:34:25 am »
I just arrived home to some schnauzer kisses!!! Rod & I were on the same flight to Denver from SFO. It was nice to have someone from the forum to wait for the plane to take off. So many emotions are going through my head. I can't seem to process it all right now. My bed is calling to me.

I would like to take this time to perosnally thank all those  who made it possible for me to be able to attend this year. I live for AMG all year to be with my forum family even if it is for just a few short days.

Dennis, thank you so much for all the hard work you put into making the gathering a smash success. You are a true jem & I am very lucky to know such a wonderful perosn. Thank you Jan for directing the memorial service. That one event is the cornerstone of each AMG. Thank you Allan for the walking tour of San Francisco.

Thank You Gerry for cordinating from behind the scenes. I wish I could have thanked you in person.

Thank you Rocky for being the true friend you are. I love you.

I can't say thank you enough to everyone that worked so hard for all of us to be together. The attendees for opening your hearts and sharing the love we have for one another. You are my family.

Love Always,

Dan J.

I just want to echo what Dan said.  This was my first and it was fantastic.  Everything went so smoothly and that is a credit to everyone who worked to put this together.  I too have so many thoughts going through my head.  It was difficult to leave on Monday morning.  I didn't want it to end.  I've met so many wonderful people.  Dennis, thanks for being such a great coordinator.  I listened to the CD on my 3 hour drive from St. Louis to work this morning and it just brought back so many great memories for the weekend.  I'm usually a pretty reserved person but Jan, the memorial service was so touching.  Thanks for the work you put into that and for the contribution everyone else made to it.  Thanks to Robert for the nice artwork on the CD.  And I know there are so many others that did so much that I don't even know about.  I've done some traveling in my life but I have to say this was probably the absolute very best time that I have had.  Thanks to everyone!

Dan

Seeing the endless smile on your face over the 4 days in SF warmed my heart to no end.  It's what I think many of us experienced at AMG.

The time flew by so fast but the memories will always be with us.

Take care buddy.
